After the 22-year-old Russian Muay Thai talent\u2019s latest ONE Championship win, it\u2019s clear the UFC commentator was right.<\/p>\n<p>Despite working for the UFC, Rogan pays close attention to many combat sports promotions around the world. That includes ONE, a Singapore-based organization that promotes Muay Thai, in addition to kickboxing, MMA and submission grappling bouts.<\/p>\n<p>There are many world class Muay Thai fighters on the ONE roster, but none have impressed Rogan quite as much as Imangazaliev.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent episode of his popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the UFC commentator<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjpenn.com\/mma-news\/joe-rogan\/ufc-commentator-joe-rogan-praises-one-of-the-most-terrifying-strikers-alive\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> had very high praise<\/a> for the rangy Russian striker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s this cat coming out of Muay Thai, out of Dagestan right now, Asadula Imangazaliev, who\u2019s like 22 years old and he\u2019s [expletive] everybody up,\u201d Rogan said.\u00a0\u201cA Dagestani Muay Thai fighter who has his own style\u2026 one of the most terrifying strikers alive right now. A lot of people think he\u2019s the best striker alive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s this long, tall, lanky dude, perfecting timing and measurement\u2026 just piecing dudes up,\u201d Rogan added. \u201cLighting dudes on fire, including Thais. They just don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on because he fights differently than them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[He uses] lot of front kicks up the middle, especially to the face. Wicked spinning attacks. He comes off angle a lot, his head\u2019s never on the centre line. Super technical \u2013 but always attacking\u2026<br \/>\u201cEverything is precise and his accuracy is spectacular. He\u2019s a laser beam, he\u2019s so focused. He\u2019s so good, man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Imangazaliev wins gold at ONE Friday Fights<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\ud83c\uddf7\ud83c\uddfa Asadula Imangazaliev KOs Nong-O in the second round of the ONE Friday Fights 147 main event.<\/p>\n<p>Imangazaliev ineligible to win the vacant flyweight Muay Thai title after failing to make weight <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ONEChampionship?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#ONEChampionship<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SAoGvt9qrX\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/SAoGvt9qrX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nick Atkin (@nickatkinone) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nickatkinone\/status\/2035032252976177294?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March 20, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Imangazaliev returned to action in the main event of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onefc.com\/events\/one-friday-fights-147\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ONE Friday Fights 147<\/a>, taking on Thai legend Nong-O Hama. The bout was set to crown the new ONE interim flyweight Muay Thai champ. Unfortunately, Imangazaliev became ineligible when he failed to pass ONE\u2019s customary pre-fight hydration test.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Imangazaliev won the fight in style, knocking Nong-O out cold in round two. It was the biggest win of his career, and will almost certainly set him up for a crack at the belt next time out \u2014 assuming he can make weight and pass hydration.<\/p>\n<p>See his finish above.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Rogan has yet to react this big win from his favorite Muay Thai fighter, but don\u2019t be surprised if he has something to say about it on an upcoming episode of his podcast.<\/p>\n<p>Imangazaliev earned a $100,000 contract to compete on the main ONE roster with six straight fights on the ONE Friday Fights series.
