BRONX, N.Y. \u2013 Finding themselves down 3-2 with two matches left, there was no margin of error for the Fordham men’s tennis team today. And the Rams responded winning both remaining matches, the final in a tiebreaker, to pull out a 4-3 win over Fairfield University on the Hawthorn\/Rooney Courts.

\nThe Stags opened the match taking the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches.<\/p>\n
In singles play, Fordham took first and fourth singles while Fairfield won at third and sixth singles to take a 3-2 lead. Mateusz Gradzki<\/a> took first singles for the Rams from Diego Acala in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, while Dhananjay Athreya<\/a> dropped the first set to Domagoj Stabek, 6-3, but came back to win the second, 6-3, and the third, 6-1. \nThe match came down to second and fifth singles. Diego Cueto<\/a> battled back after losing the first set at fifth singles to Luca Benaibbouche, 6-4, to win the second, 6-1, and the third, 7-5, to even the match at 3-3.

\nAll eyes then turned to second singles where Will Lokier<\/a> dropped the first set to Kostas Kollias, 6-3, before coming back to win the second, 6-3, and then took the third set to a tiebreaker which he won 7-6(5) to win the match for Fordham.
