Beside the possum in the kangaroo section were Tasmanian devils, a growling carnivore that inspired the feisty Warner Bros. cartoon character Taz.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbwrdi0005356rjvo5dtp8@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cA passenger reported it to\u2026 one of the staff members on shift who couldn\u2019t quite believe what she was hearing,\u201d Bloomfield said. \u201cShe then called the (airport) management and said we\u2019ve got a possum in the store.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx1co0008356rbl2x23a2@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            A staff member took a video of the possum with her phone before the animal grew wary of the growing attention and left the shop.\n    <\/p>\n<p>       <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/118119-possumairport-thmb.jpg\" alt=\"118119_PossumAirport thmb.jpg\" class=\"image__dam-img image__dam-img--loading\" onload=\"this.classList.remove('image__dam-img--loading')\" onerror=\"imageLoadError(this)\" height=\"1920\" width=\"1080\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Real possum found in a Tasmanian airport\n                <\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" height=\"undefined\" width=\"526\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1774166243_227_118119-possumairport-thmb.jpg\" alt=\"\" onerror=\"imageLoadError(this)\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Real possum found in a Tasmanian airport<\/p>\n<p>0:22         <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx26c000a356rr8u1di6m@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Airport staff were able to remove the possum from the airport unharmed.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx26c000b356rxp6mg6bc@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Bloomfield didn\u2019t know what attracted the possum to the toy shelf.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx26c000c356rw34igrcf@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cI\u2019m imaging it saw some of the plush animals that were for sale on the shelf and it decided to make its home with those. It wanted to blend in,\u201d Bloomfield joked.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx26c000d356r7adab1dn@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            How the possum got into the store and how long it spent there are also unknown.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph_elevate\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmxbx26c000e356rqmm5lr1d@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            It was unlikely to have been placed there as a prank.
