Igor Tudor, the Spurs interim head coach, did not attend the post-match press conference. Sky Sports are reporting that he was informed of a family bereavement straight after the game, with his assistant Bruno Saltor speaking to the media in his absence.

Share

Updated at 12.50 EDT

Match report: Tottenham 0-3 Nottm Forest

It promises to be a long three weeks for Tottenham Hotspur and Igor Tudor. That is if Tudor gets the time, after Nottingham Forest plunged Spurs deeper into the relegation fight, recording a humiliating 3-0 victory at this vast arena.

When Spurs, now a point above the relegation zone, do re-emerge after the international break, their trip to Sunderland will be the first of seven games to save their Premier League status. Perhaps appropriately, here Tudor was dressed all in black and there was a funereal feeling to things when the final whistle blew and the jeers rang out from the stands.

Share

Don’t forget you can follow the Carabao Cup final with Daniel Harris.

Share

Morgan Gibbs-White’s goal was his ninth in the Premier League this season. Only nine men have scored more.

Share

The updated Premier League table

Share

Forest have done the double over Spurs for the second season in a row, this time by beating them 3-0 home and away. I’d need to check but I think an aggregate score of 6-0 is their most emphatic league double over Spurs.

ShareFull time: Tottenham Hotspur 0-3 Nottingham Forest

Any lingering doubt that Spurs could be relegated has gone: they were well beaten by an excellent Forest side, who held firm in the first half and had fun in the second. That’s quite a way for Vitor Pereira to get his first league win as Forest manager.

Vitor Pereira, head coach of Nottingham Forest, acknowledges the fans. West Ham stay third from bottom, one point behind Tottenham. On recent form, Spurs are hot favourites to go down.

Share

90+1 min: Forest substitutions James McAtee and Nicolas Dominguez replace Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson.

Share

90 min Five minutes of added time. It’s easy to forget, after such a miserable result, that Spurs were the better team for most of the first half. But Forest held firm – Milenkovic and Murillo are so good – and took the lead just before half-time. The timing of Igor Jesus’s opening goal was brutal. Since then, Forest have been far too good for an ailing Spurs.

Share

Updated at 12.10 EDT

89 min Sels makes another good save from the resulting corner, diving to his right to push away a header from Solanke. He dives low to his left to push a 20-yard shot from Solanke round the post. Excellent save.

Share

The substitute Taiwo Awoniyi has completed an outstanding victory for Nottingham Forest. He and Murillo have been in 2024-25 form today.

Share

64 min Still no sign of Xavi Simons.

Share

63 min The only good news for Spurs is that it’s still Aston Villa 1-0 West Ham at Villa Park. This is the Premier League table as things stand.

Share

Updated at 11.43 EDT

Spurs are in desperate bother. Callum Hudson-Odoi did superbly to make the goal. He slowed down to draw Porro towards him, then left him for dead and surged into the area. A precise cutback found Gibbs-White, inexplicably unmarked 10 yards out, and his first-time shot went through the diving Vicario into the net.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Archie Gray looks dejected after Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White scored their second goal.
