\n\tChappell Roan<\/a> has shared \u201cmy half of the story\u201d following an accusation that one of her security guards intimidated a young fan at a Sao Paulo hotel.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday, professional Brazilian soccer player Jorginho shared a story on social media that alleged that Roan sent her security guard to chastise his wife and daughter after the latter approached her briefly during breakfast in their shared hotel; however, on Sunday morning, Roan clarified that the security guard, who wasn\u2019t a member of her personal team, was acting independently.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy wife is in S\u00e3o Paulo for Lollapalooza Brazil. This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire,\u201d Jorginho wrote in Portuguese and English to his 5 million followers on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBy coincidence, they\u2019re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her. The worst part is she didn\u2019t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer\u2019s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn\u2019t say anything, didn\u2019t ask for anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing that brief encounter, \u201cA large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn\u2019t allow my daughter to \u2018disrespect\u2019 or \u2018harass\u2019 other people,\u201d Jorginho wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,\u201d the soccer star continued, adding that the security guard\u00a0\u201ceven said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Jorginho didn\u2019t name his child, People reports<\/a> that it was his stepdaughter Ada Law, the daughter of actor Jude Law and Catherine Harding, Jude\u2019s ex and Jorginho\u2019s current wife.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday night, Roan thanked her security team during her Lollapalooza Brazil set, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful, so thank you, and thank you to my crew and my security and my band, and everyone behind the scenes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, on Sunday morning amid the growing controversy, the singer took to Instagram<\/a> to clarify that she wasn\u2019t responsible for the incident, as well as apologize to the mother and daughter.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m just gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child who were involved with a security guard who is not my personal security,\u201d Roan emphasized.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI didn\u2019t even see a woman and a child, like no one came up to me, no one bothered me. Like, I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel as well. I did not ask this security guard to go up to talk to this mother and child, they did not come up to me, they weren\u2019t doing anything. It\u2019s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn\u2019t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there\u2019s no action even taken.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRoan continued, \u201cI do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children. I am sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something, that you would do something, and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.\u201d<\/p>\n
