TICKFORD Autosport teenager Rylan Gray<\/a> has been confirmed as the winner of the Saturday Super2 race at Ipswich following a post-race investigation.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old had a margin of 2.9164 seconds over pole-sitter Brad Vaughan upon taking the chequered flag<\/a>, but did so under a cloud of doubt.<\/p>\n

That related to a possible infringement at the end of the Safety Car intervention which accounted for a large portion of the race.<\/p>\n

V8 Sleuth understands Gray has now been cleared of any wrongdoing and thus will retain what is the second race win of his Super2 career.<\/p>\n

Vaughan therefore has to settle for second, having been in line to become BJR\u2019s first Super2 victor since Andrew Jones in Race 2 of the 2011 Queensland Raceway round.<\/p>\n

Gray\u2019s title advantage now stands at 144 points over Nash Morris<\/a> entering Sunday\u2019s action, where another 150 points will be up for grabs across the course of a 40-minute race.<\/p>\n

There will be no more than 22 cars on the grid, with Image Racing\u2019s #118 Commodore withdrawn and driver Jarrod Hughes<\/a> sore following heavy contact from Mason Kelly<\/a>.<\/p>\n
