Show host and former Rooster Braith Anasta asked journalist Brent Read if \u201che had heard any noise\u201d around Robinson.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s funny Braith. There\u2019s been a rumour going around that Robbo might pack up and go to France at the end of the year and I\u2019ve heard it from about three different people in the past fortnight,\u201d Read responded.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think because his wife is French and there\u2019s always been this talk that Robbo would go there at the end of his career.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Read said those rumours have been quickly dismissed by chairman Nick Politis.<\/p>\n
\u201cI rung Nick today and he said it was absolute rubbish, Robbo is going nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
Robinson has guided the Roosters to three premierships since taking over from Brian Smith in 2013 and understandably, is considered one of the game\u2019s best active coaches.<\/p>\n
The perception from some corners though is that at times, the Robinson-led Roosters have underachieved given the talent they have and for a proud club, success is paramount.<\/p>\n
Read doesn\u2019t believe the Roosters mentor is under pressure as of right now despite two heavy losses from three games to start the 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always said it on here but the greatest pressure on Robbo is the pressure he puts on himself. This is a guy who has won three comps but I think it\u2019s been seven years since they\u2019ve won a comp and that\u2019s a long time for a club like that,\u201d Read said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s under pressure. Maybe if it comes to the end of the year and it\u2019s been a shocking season then there will be pressure of some sort.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think anyone is saying he\u2019s under pressure now. That\u2019s unrealistic but if they lose to Manly on Thursday and go 1-3, it heats up a little bit<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019d have to have an absolutely abhorrent year for Robbo to be under pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n
