I love Tokyo. I think it\u2019s the best city in the world and the food is unbelievable. Everything on site is perfect, the people are amazing, the hotel is great. It was my first time in Asia last year when I went, and I just thought it was all so cool.<\/p>\n<p>What is your favourite tennis rivalry? <br \/>I loved watching the Novak and Fed rivalry. I watched that 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/tournaments\/wimbledon\/540\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wimbledon<\/a> final when I had a broken ankle. I sat on the couch and watched every point of that match. That was crazy. I loved watching those guys go into battle. <\/p>\n<p> Who is your own greatest rival? <br \/>There are guys I enjoy playing because I win, but\u2026 I haven\u2019t really played anyone more than like three times on Tour. I would have to say Learner [Tien], because we played a bunch in juniors&#8230; It\u2019s a fun little rivalry. We\u2019re very close friends too, so it\u2019s always fun to play him.<\/p>\n<p>Has there been a unique or standout moment in your career so far? <br \/>When I broke Top 100. I won the Challenger in Knoxville and I was pretty over the moon. I never really was supposed to be a professional tennis player and it was just like a moment of awe. I saw myself at No. 99 in the world and was just like, \u2018That\u2019s crazy\u2019. Then winning the biggest title of my life so far on clay [in Estoril], that was pretty amazing. <\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/news\/atp-number-one-club\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768144283_348_atp-no-1-club-banner-article.jpg\" alt=\"\u201cATP\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p> What\u2019s the biggest thing you\u2019ve been chasing? <br \/>Winning an ATP Tour title. I\u2019ve lost three finals, so I\u2019m just looking to get one of those under my belt. That would be amazing.<\/p>\n<p>How exciting is the chase? <br \/>It\u2019s exciting for sure. Every week you are like, \u2018Okay, maybe this week\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>Is there anything you got to do only because you are a tennis player? <br \/>I met Russell Westbrook at a Clippers game [in 2024] and I sat pretty close and watched another Clippers game last year when Steph [Curry] was there.
