Limited-time offer.<\/a><\/p>\nWith the result beyond doubt \u2014 Hawthorn leading Port Adelaide by 33 points with six minutes remaining in the final term \u2014 Ginnivan converted a set shot from about 40 metres out before spreading his arms wide to mimic Hinkley\u2019s taunt after the Power\u2019s dramatic semi-final win last September. <\/p>\n
That act earned Hinkley a highly-controversial $20,000 fine from the AFL, and after Ginnivan wasn\u2019t allowed to have his moment at Gather Round earlier in the season \u2014 held goalless as Port Adelaide romped to a 30-point win in April \u2014 he took his opportunity in Tassie in lower-stakes circumstances. <\/p>\n
But Hinkley took Ginnivan\u2019s act \u201cin great spirits\u201d as the Fox Footy cameras panned to the outgoing mentor, who smiled in reaction. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s laughing too, he gets it,\u201d Bulldogs icon Brad Johnson said as the calling panel had broken into laughter. <\/p>\n
Five-time Hawks premiership icon Dermott Brereton added: \u201cWell done, Kenny. He\u2019s a good man; he\u2019s taken that in great spirits. Sometimes you\u2019ve just got to lick your wounds, don\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson said of Ginnivan\u2019s celebration: \u201cThat\u2019s a brilliant celebration. Not over the top, just flying low today.\u201d<\/p>\n
Former Hawks sharpshooter Ben Dixon added: \u201cJust had the head down, wings out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brereton said: \u201cI\u2019m applauding Ken for having a giggle at that. That\u2019s like Kenny\u2019s just stood up and said \u2018touch\u00e9\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Russell added: \u201cBrilliant sportsmanship, really, from Kenny there, as the fans (with) a bit of pantomime booing as well when Kenny was shown on the big screen.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the final siren, as Hinkley made his way down the aisle from the coaches\u2019 box to ground level, Hawthorn fans had their arms wide as Hinkley could only smile. <\/p>\n
\u201cKen (is) enjoying it, really, the pantomime villain. AFL game him a $20,000 fine for taunting Jack Ginnivan with the aeroplane, but it\u2019s given back to him now by the crowd, who are doing the aeroplane to him,\u201d Russell said. <\/p>\n

In his post-game press conference, Hinkley reassured he had no qualms with Ginnivan\u2019s antics, acknowledging \u201cit was my turn today\u201d. <\/p>\n
\u201cPayback\u2019s a \u2026 I was going to say something else. Payback\u2019s deserved,\u201d Hinkley said. <\/p>\n
\u201cI have no problems with it \u2026 good for the game and theatre of the game and good on Jack\u2026 I won\u2019t be one that sits here and (do) anything but acknowledge that it was my turn today.\u201d<\/p>\n
Veteran premiership forward Jack Gunston, who booted three goals on the day, told Dixon post-game the Hawks continued to embrace players\u2019 individuality. <\/p>\n
\u201cGinni, he loves the theatre. We love people being themselves out on the footy field,\u201d Gunston told Fox Footy. <\/p>\n
