James Marsden is stepping back into the shoes of X-Men leader Scott Summers, a.k.a Cyclops, for Avengers: Doomsday, hitting theaters later this year. In the upcoming MCU film, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, he will wear a new costume, closely resembling his suit from the comics, rather than the black leather suit he wore in the original movies. Recently, the actor revealed the one issue he had with the outfit while discussing it in an interview.<\/p>\n
James Marsden talks Cyclops\u2019 new suit in Avengers: Doomsday<\/p>\n
Marsden touched upon Cyclops\u2019 suit for Avengers: Doomsday in a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He first recalled that for the original X-Men<\/a> movie, he wore a black leather suit, which was incredibly tight and restrictive, not allowing for much movement. He added that on the first day of filming, he and Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman had to jump over a little retaining wall outside the Statue of Liberty, but ended up tripping over it due to their tight suits. The Sonic the Hedgehog star clarified that he wasn\u2019t joking and that there was online footage of his and Jackman\u2019s on-set mishap.<\/p>\n Marsden then shifted the topic to Cyclops\u2019 suit in Doomsday, saying wearing it felt \u201cvery cool\u2019 and \u201cvery proud\u201d until he wore the visor. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Oh yeah. I can\u2019t see again,’\u201d he added. \u201cYou can\u2019t really see through the visor. There\u2019s a few of them. One lights up and one you can kind of see a little bit through.\u201d<\/p>\n The Paradise actor also pointed out that the visor had a small slit through which he could see, while Jimmy Kimmel jokingly compared the actor\u2019s predicament to wearing sunglasses in a situation where it wasn\u2019t required.<\/p>\n The comedian subsequently joked that Marsden was \u201cat his most vulnerable\u201d when \u201cdressed as a superhero.\u201d The latter agreed, saying, \u201cThat\u2019s kind of what I\u2019m getting at.\u201d<\/p>\n
