SALISBURY, N.C. \u2014 Three High Point University women’s golfers competed as individuals at The Patsy Rendleman Invitational, which concluded Tuesday afternoon after 54 holes of play, at the Country Club of Salisbury.<\/p>\n
The Panthers had a pair of runner-up finishers in Peyton Costabile<\/a> and Ambre Matlega<\/a> as Savannah Cherry<\/a> finished ninth to have all HPU competitors place in the top-10. \nCostabile and Matlega shot identical scores through all three rounds, finishing tied for second with a 54-hole score of 227. Costabile sunk four birdies while Matlega made three as each of them saw their best round come in the opening 18 with a 2-over-par 73. Matlega had a tournament second-best 36 pars as Costabile followed with 34.<\/p>\n
