Cadbury Mini Eggs are selling out across the country.<\/p>\n

In the lead-up to Easter weekend – taking place between April 3 and April 5 – the beloved chocolate treats have disappeared from shelves as Aussies across the country have resorted to “panic” buying.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chocolate-lovers are so concerned regarding the Mini Eggs shortage that they’ve resorted to hunting them down online, with many using various social media channels to track down the remaining stock, while also voicing their worry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Panic buyers moved away from petrol and to the Cadbury Mini Eggs?” one person posted on Reddit, referring to the current fuel shortage, before adding: “Are people stock piling these again?”<\/p>\n

Another person added: “My woolies was sold out of mini eggs three weeks ago.”<\/p>\n

“Could someone please help? Where could someone find the mini eggs?\u00a0 When will they be back\/restocking? I\u2019ve searched Coles, Woolworths and Big W,” one person complained on Facebook.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mini egg shortage is not exclusive to Australia, it also stretches all the way across the Tasman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Forget the fuel crisis\u2026 can we talk about the sudden shortage of mini eggs?!” one New Zealander penned on Reddit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another Kiwi asked: “Where have all the mini eggs gone?”\u00a0<\/p>\n

One person levelled with concerned shoppers, assuring them that the sell-out trend was an annual occurence and nothing new when it came to the beloved Easter choccies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Cadbury Mini Eggs always sell out a month before Easter. I start stocking up as soon as they’re on the shelves because I use them in Easter baking,” they pointed out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another chimed in: \u201cThis happens every year about a month out from Easter. If you\u2019re a genuine fan, you\u2019d already know this.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Last year I missed out, this year I\u2019m part of the problem \u2026 Ordered 35 bags,” a third added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The shortage is so dire that Cadbury has now launched a\u00a0\u201cMini Eggs locator\u201d<\/a> on their website to help Aussies find the remaining bags of Mini Eggs before it’s too late.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Responding to skynews.com.au’s request for comment, a Cadbury spokesperson dubbed their Mini Eggs offering “one of our most popular Easter products”, before acknowledging that they are aware of “how fast they sell every year”.\u00a0<\/p>\n
