Just a few short days after Samsung confirmed it would bring AirDrop support<\/a> to the Galaxy S26 series, we\u2019re already seeing the update arrive on devices in regions beyond its initial launch. Unfortunately for US readers, you\u2019ll have to keep waiting a little while longer.<\/p>\n

As reported by SammyFans<\/a>, the Galaxy S26\u2019s update for Quick Share is now rolling out to users based in Europe and India, after beginning in South Korea on Monday<\/a>. We\u2019re expecting this update to reach users in North America before the week is up, though considering the company is clearly pushing this out to devices in waves, early S26 adopters may have to wait an additional day or two before this patch reaches this side of the Atlantic. For those users in Europe or India, keep an eye out for a new software build labeled version AZCF. You\u2019ll also need to ensure Play Services is updated<\/a> for AirDrop support to work properly.<\/p>\n

Samsung has confirmed with 9to5Google that AirDrop is enabled by default<\/a> once you\u2019ve received this patch on your device, though the company has also demonstrated how to manually enable or disable the feature within settings. This build adds a \u201cShare with Apple Devices\u201d toggle in your Quick Share preferences menu, along with a helpful splash screen that explains how the feature works. After all, the Galaxy S26 trio is only the third series of Android devices to officially gain Google\u2019s newly-developed support<\/a> for cross-platform sharing, after its own Pixel 10 and Pixel 9 lineups.<\/p>\n
