It is about a more basic question: Where is value created in the digital economy?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afr.com\/politics\/federal\/tax-worries-give-google-pause-on-20b-australia-data-centre-dream-20260312-p5o9r5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google<\/a> is reportedly seeking clarity about how a large data-centre hub would be taxed, including whether it would be treated as a \u201cpermanent establishment\u201d and expose more of its profits to the 30 per cent company tax rate.
