Davis, Calif. \u2013 UC Davis Men’s Tennis (8-8) secured a 6-1 victory over UC Riverside (2-18). The team won five of the six singles matches and claimed the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions.<\/p>\n
HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n
UC Davis claimed the doubles point with victories on courts two and one. Lucas Bollinger<\/a> and Kurt Miller<\/a> opened with a decisive 6-0 win over Andrew Lavine and Jovan Pedroza at No. 2 doubles. Ivan Savkin<\/a> and Dylan Paterson<\/a> followed up with a 6-4 win against Lucas I. Suarez and Lucas Mszyca on court one. The match on court three, featuring Perry DiGiulio<\/a> and Kaveh Taheri<\/a>, ended 4-3 in favor of UC Riverside’s Owen Pearson and Ivaylo Simeonov, but the doubles point had been secured for the Aggies.<\/p>\n In singles play, UC Davis dominated, securing five out of six matches.
