{"id":564982,"date":"2026-03-26T05:41:18","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T05:41:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/564982\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T05:41:18","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T05:41:18","slug":"costner-gyllenhaal-team-for-honeymoon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/564982\/","title":{"rendered":"Costner, Gyllenhaal Team For &#8220;Honeymoon&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/costner-gyllenhaal-team-for-honeymoon.jpg\" data-caption=\"Amazon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/costner-gyllenhaal-team-for-honeymoon.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"costner-gyllenhaal-team-for-honeymoon\"\/><\/a>Amazon<\/p>\n<p>Amazon MGM Studios have set an April start of filming in both Brisbane, Australia and the picturesque Whitsunday Islands for the Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal-led dramedy \u201cHoneymoon With Harry\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The story centers on a free-spirited, impulsive man (Gyllenhaal) whose honeymoon plans are thrown into disarray, leaving him stuck navigating an island getaway alongside his fianc\u00e9e\u2019s guarded, difficult father (Costner).<\/p>\n<p>What begins as a collision of personalities gradually gives way to an unlikely connection between the two.  Sarah Pidgeon (\u201cAmerican Love Story\u201d) is also in talks to join the cast.<\/p>\n<p>Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (\u201cFocus\u201d) will direct and Dan Fogelman (\u201cThis Is Us\u201d) will write the film, the trio having previous collaborated on 2011\u2019s Gosling-Carell rom-com \u201cCrazy, Stupid, Love\u201d and more recently Hulu\u2019s \u201cParadise\u201d series.<\/p>\n<p>Though filmed in Queensland, Ficarra and Requa indicate in a statement that the story will be set in \u201cChicago, the Caribbean and everything in between\u201d.  Amazon\u2019s recent \u201cThe Bluff\u201d pirate feature similarly used the Australian state to stand in for the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>The project is adapted from a novel by Bart Baker.   A previous attempt was made to adapt the story back in 2010 with Jonathan Demme directing while Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper would\u2019ve starred.
