Max Verstappen asked a journalist to leave \u2060his Thursday media briefing \u2060at the Japanese Grand Prix, with \u2060the Dutchman still upset over a question asked by the same reporter in December about an incident that potentially cost him a fifth-straight drivers\u2019 title.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not speaking before he\u2019s leaving,\u201d Verstappen said as he sat down to take \u200cquestions in Red Bull\u2019s hospitality area at the Suzuka circuit ahead of the third race of the season on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Verstappen had already clashed with the journalist following December\u2019s Abu Dhabi season finale after losing the title to McLaren\u2019s Lando Norris by just two points.<\/p>\n
The reporter had asked \u2060Verstappen if in hindsight he regretted an incident with Mercedes driver George Russell at the Spanish \u200cGrand Prix in June for which the Dutchman was given a 10-second penalty that dropped him from fifth to 10th and cost him nine precious \u200cpoints.<\/p>\n
