The release will mark the first release in North America. The release will include newly produced subtitles and a previously unreleased English <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/lexicon.php?id=98\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dub<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>AnimEigo describes the anime:\n<\/p>\n<p>In the 17th century, Lord Tokugawa wages a ruthless war of domination. Among his targets are the mighty Sarutobi clan, whose most formidable warrior is Daisuke Ozaru. When Ozaru&#8217;s wife is assassinated, his young son Sasuke&#8211;traumatized and believing his father dead&#8211;considers himself an orphan. Unbeknownst to him, the mysterious traveler who takes him in is actually Ozaru in disguise. And now, father and son walk a hidden path, as Daisuke secretly trains Sasuke to become a master ninja&#8211;so that one day, he can avenge his mother and strike back at the empire that destroyed their family.<\/p>\n<p>The anime debuted in September 1968. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=52755\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kiyoshi \u014cnishi<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=3536\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ox Tales<\/a>) directed the anime.<br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"345\" alt=\"5ac0a3bb-90f2-4ee4-9284-ad54c7b8d301\" border=\"1\" src=\"\/thumbnails\/max300x600\/cms\/news.8\/227376\/5ac0a3bb-90f2-4ee4-9284-ad54c7b8d301.jpg\" class=\"lazyload\"\/>Image courtesy of AnimEigoThe second and final volume of the anime adaptation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=973\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arina Tanemura<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=872\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Looking for the Full Moon<\/a> manga will ship on November 11. It will feature episodes 27-52 of the anime and feature an English dub as well as the original Japanese audio with English subtitles. This will be the first time the anime will have a complete English release. The company describes the anime:<br \/>\n12-year-old Mitsuki wants to be a singer. Unfortunately, she has cancer, and can&#8217;t sing above a whisper. One day, two \u201cdeath gods\u201d appear and inform her she only has one year left to live. So, in order to make her dream come true, they&#8217;ll transform her\u2026 into a real idol singer.<\/p>\n<p>AnimEigo planned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2025-04-28\/animeigo-to-release-looking-for-the-full-moon-anime-with-full-english-dub\/.223965\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release<\/a> the first volume on August 12. However, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaocd.com\/post\/full-moon-vol-1-delay-and-replacement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">revealed<\/a> on August 1 that copies of the first volume that shipped early from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=19203\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MediaOCD<\/a>&#8216;s website had a glitch &#8220;in episode 19 that caused a majority of the episode to be unwatchably out of sync.&#8221; The company is halting shipments for a few weeks to get the fixed disc 2 in the set shipped. Those who already received their copy of volume 1 will get a replacement copy for disc 2 automatically shipped to them once the new disc is ready.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=4552\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Viz Media<\/a> only released part of the anime on DVD in 2005 and 2006. For the rich and dying, he performs miracles of a macabre medical nature. Unafraid of mysteries that verge on the paranormal, Black Jack is the one man with the power to cheat death\u2026for a terrible price! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=65\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Osamu Dezaki<\/a> directed the 10-episode OVA, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=19644\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Satoshi Kuwabara<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=15734\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Masayoshi Nishida<\/a> directed Black Jack Final. AnimEigo describes the anime as a &#8220;story of a robot boy who bonds with a terminally ill girl.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=8471\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Takashi Anno<\/a> directed the television special at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=34\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sunrise<\/a>. The release will feature an English dub as well as Japanese audio with English subtitles. <\/p>\n<p>AnimEigo describes the story:\n<\/p>\n<p>It follows three elementary school girls \u2013 Yuri Otani, Kumi Kawamura, and Kasumi Tomine \u2013 who are forced to fight off invading aliens as part of the school&#8217;s &#8220;Anti-Alien Team.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=3555\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yasuhiro Irie<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=10216\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood<\/a>) directed episodes 2-4 of the four-episode OVA series (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=8926\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jiro Fujimoto<\/a> directed episode 1).
