\n\tBTS<\/a> did double duty on The Tonight Show<\/a>, performing a second track in the Guggenheim Museum for the late-night show. The night after the group took over the show<\/a> with a performance of \u201cSwim\u201d and a lengthy interview with Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, they shared a rendition of \u201c2.0.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe upbeat track comes off BTS\u2019 new LP,\u00a0Arirang<\/a>. The seven-piece band sang and danced on the floor of the Guggenheim as fans watched from the circular levels above. RM, notably, sat on a stool for most of the performance having injured his ankle<\/a> during rehearsals for the group\u2019s recent comeback concert. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tArirang\u00a0is BTS\u2019 first full-length album since 2022. To make the album, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook all moved to Los Angeles, where they lived together in a house for two months. It was the first time all seven of them had lived in the same place since 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLast night, RM explained to Fallon that the title comes from the name of a popular Korean folk song. \u201cI think it\u2019s the song that represents Koreans the most,\u201d he said. \u201cIt includes lots of emotions in it. It could be joy. It could be sorrow, longings, sadness, whatever. Resistance. So we just hope that our new songs could be universal, like the \u2018arirang,\u2019 which is the Korean traditional song.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the interview, V also explained the meaning behind \u201c2.0,\u201d saying the dynamic song is about \u201cwho we are today after our solo journey.\u201d \u201cWhen we say \u2018You know how we do it\u2019 in \u20182.0.\u2019 you could feel it,\u201d he added. \u201cOur confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA documentary,\u00a0BTS: The Return<\/a>, arrived on Netflix today, offering a behind-the-look at BTS\u2019 free concert at Seoul\u2019s Gwanghwamun Square earlier this week, which Netflix live-streamed. On April 9, the group will embark on an\u00a082-date world tour<\/a>, slated to run through March of next year.
