{"id":568893,"date":"2026-03-28T00:26:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T00:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/568893\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T00:26:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T00:26:08","slug":"ktm-talking-to-moto2-stars-for-2027-motogp-chance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/568893\/","title":{"rendered":"KTM talking to Moto2 stars for 2027 MotoGP \u201cchance\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pit Beirer has confirmed that KTM is in talks with Moto2 stars as it prepares for the 850cc MotoGP era.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian manufacturer looks set to lose<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1040772\/pedro-acosta\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Pedro Acosta<\/a> to Ducati for 2027, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Marquez<\/a> tipped as a possible replacement.<\/p>\n<p>Even then, at least three RC16 seats could be up for grabs, assuming the Tech3 satellite squad renews its deal.<\/p>\n<p>Tech3 rider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1689\/maverick-vinales\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maverick Vinales<\/a> has been linked with a move to the factory team, but his start to the season has been disrupted by ongoing complications from last year\u2019s shoulder injury.<\/p>\n<p>Team-mate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/973238\/enea-bastianini\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Enea Bastianini <\/a>and factory rider<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/939427\/brad-binder\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Brad Binder <\/a>have also struggled to deliver frontrunning results so far.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt looks like we have Pedro on a solid base now, where he can really fight for great positions a lot, I would say,\u201d Beirer said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we are not where we want to be with Brad, Enea and Maverick.
