Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a> viewers were anything but impressed after a major rule change was introduced this week.<\/p>\n As per tradition, an act must get at least three \u2018yeses\u2019 from judges Simon Cowell<\/a>, Amanda Holden<\/a>, Alesha Dixon<\/a>, and KSI<\/a> to go through to the next round, making a majority.<\/p>\n But tonight, at the last second, an unexpected switch-up secured one auditionee\u2019s place in the competition after they were initially rejected.<\/p>\n From Newcastle<\/a>, MC Tazo arrived onstage with a smile, having already been hyped up by fellow Geordies and hosts Ant McPartlin<\/a> and Declan Donnelly<\/a> beforehand.<\/p>\n He explained to the panel that he had an eight-year-old and a 12-year-old, who were in the audience to support him and were \u2018absolutely buzzing\u2019 upon learning he was auditioning.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tGet personalised updates on Britain’s Got Talent\t\t\t<\/p>\n Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro\u2019s TV Newsletter.<\/p>\n Sign up to our newsletter<\/a> and then select your show in the link we\u2019ll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you.<\/p>\n No further details were given ahead of his performance, but everything soon became clear as some intense music kicked in and he began hyping up the crowd.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018Right, BGT, I wanna know, are you ready to have some fun out there?\u2019, the 43-year-old gas engineer, whose real name is Kevin, shouted on the mic.<\/p>\n Encouraging everyone to put their hands in the air, he proceeded to rap about the show and yell for audience participation with, \u2018When I say \u201cBritain\u2019s Got,\u201d you say \u201cTalent\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n Kevin even managed to get boxer-turned-YouTuber KSI on his feet, who grooved through the whole thing.<\/p>\n As the performance came to a close, Simon had a smile on his face, and Ant and Dec were cheering from the wings\u2026 but Amanda and Alesha were in need of convincing.<\/p>\n \u2018I thought it was an absolute banger!\u2019, declared KSI.<\/p>\n \u2018Love the energy, great vibes, got me out of my seat. I loved it,\u2019 he screamed to the point where his voice was actually turning hoarse.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \t\t After KSI gave \u2018the easiest yes of the night\u2019, Simon told Kevin: \u2018That was fun.<\/p>\n \u2018I think people are gonna like you, and I\u2019m actually with KSI on this. I thought that was good. I liked it a lot. So I will say yes.\u2019<\/p>\n Alas, Kevin needed three yeses to sail through, and it wasn\u2019t going to come from Amanda, who admitted: \u2018You\u2019re lovely, but the song was not.\u2019<\/p>\n After Simon\u2019s attempt at guilt-tripping by reminding his fellow judges that the hopeful has \u2018two young kids\u2019, Mis-Teeq star Alesha said she was \u2018hoping it was gonna be amazing\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018But it was slightly out of time, Kevin,\u2019 she said, earning boos from the crowd, apologising before giving a hard \u2018no\u2019.<\/p>\n Ant and Dec were immediately gutted, rushing out onto the stage to intervene.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \t\t \u2018Can we just give a yes? That\u2019s three yeses,\u2019 asked Ant, which the crowd was more than happy to allow.<\/p>\n \u2018OK, right. We\u2019ve changed the rules,\u2019 Simon stated.<\/p>\n \u2018Two yeses,\u2019 he said, pointing to himself and KSI, then pointing to the presenting duo: \u2018Four yeses, you\u2019re through.\u2019<\/p>\n Ant and Dec celebrated and jumped to hug a relieved Kevin, although their rule change did not go down well with those watching at home.<\/p>\n Taking to X, @wonderthunder13 raged: \u2018Make up the rules as we go along on\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018So what \u201ctalent\u201d are Ant and Dec such fans of? I\u2019ve got a headache\u2019, said @rozlaws of the performance.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n @SamFarmer2 added that while Kevin was a \u2018nice guy\u2019, his act was \u2018terrible\u2019, not warranting such a major format change.<\/p>\n @Anthony08876880 wrote, \u20182 \u201cyes votes\u201d and still through by a new rule\u2019, while @MaddDeb even confessed they had \u2018turned over\u2019 after tuning in \u2018for the first time in years tonight\u2019. <\/p>\n This wasn\u2019t the first time in the episode that Ant and Dec rubbed viewers up the wrong way either, with @JoeyKay20 fuming with how they had \u2018overruled the rules so they get someone through\u2019 after an \u2018absolutely terrible show\u2019.<\/p>\n Earlier on, they used their Golden Buzzer, which can be pressed once by each judge and the hosts to send an act they really love straight through to the semi-finals. I don\u2019t get what the judges were in hysterics about and for Ant and Dec to give him their golden buzzer??? I have lost the plot with this programme now\u2019, vented @islandofangels.<\/p>\n @RyanSoapKing25 also argued that the performer \u2018wasn\u2019t that good\u2019.<\/p>\n However, many defended the auditionee, who is autistic<\/a> and used his autism as inspiration for jokes throughout his routine, such as poking fun at his love of graphs and data.<\/p>\n \u2018Ant and Dec *personally* found him funny and the whole point of the golden buzzer is that they can let whoever they enjoy through, thats what its for,\u2019 said @peraltasbearcam.
