It’s the final MAFS<\/a> 2026 Commitment Ceremony, can you believe it? We’ve made it!<\/p>\n

Well, not all of us. One couple did officially break up this week, but we’ll get to that later.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Firstly, you guessed it! Stella and Filip<\/a> make coffee and debrief on the Dinner Party that was. At this point, it’s not a Sunday episode without seeing them gaze at each other starry-eyed while chugging caffeine.<\/p>\n

No one will be surprised by their decisions, but many of the other couples are having a tough time.<\/p>\n

For example, there’s Alissa<\/a>, David<\/a>, and their much less peaceful morning coffee.<\/p>\n

David wants to share his feelings with her, and she says she wants him to do that too, but he cannot get a word in.<\/p>\n

At all.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Perhaps the experts will finally give him the space to speak?<\/p>\n

Alissa and David<\/p>\n

David isn’t wasting any time \u2013 he says he’s been putting his emotions aside to keep the peace in his relationship.<\/p>\n

He’s cautious of talking to her, worried it will spiral into an unnecessarily tense argument. I’m confused, is this Alissa and David or Gia and Scott<\/a>?<\/p>\n

“I want a partner who can have a constructive conversation with me about an issue, but a partner who shuts you down and tells you what they’re saying is bible, there is an issue,” David explains.<\/p>\n

Alissa argues she doesn’t shut him down, but he has examples. Like when she called him a “weak man” and questioned his financial situation.<\/p>\n

“What happened in this relationship is I’ve done\ufeff a lot of listening, Alissa’s done a lot of talking,” he says.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Mel Schilling<\/a> pulls them up for going around in circles. She tells them it’s time to get real honest, \ufeffwith no put-downs or avoidance.<\/p>\n

That is their goal for the week ahead, as each have chosen to stay and work through this.<\/p>\n

Rachel and Steven<\/p>\n

Our wholesome reprieve!<\/p>\n

“I can feel myself falling in love with Rachel<\/a>,” Steven<\/a> explains.<\/p>\n

Rachel feels exactly the same, but her emotions \ufeffcome to the surface as she remembers the last time someone said they loved her \u2013 the very next day they said they couldn’t remember saying it.<\/p>\n

Knowing\ufeff how genuine Steven is, it’s got her right in her feels.<\/p>\n

Her fear is the experiment will end, they’ll go back to their lives\ufeff, and Steven will decide she’s not a priority in his busy life and let her go.<\/p>\n

He wants to get out there and prove her wrong.<\/p>\n

\ufeffBut first, there’s an experiment to finish \u2013 they’re staying.<\/p>\n

Bec and Danny\ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffDanny<\/a> catches everyone up on his bad joke about Bec’s cousin fancying him, and while he knows it was a dumb thing to say, he’s worried his and Bec<\/a>‘s fight styles are too different.<\/p>\n

He says he wouldn’t want to move his life and feel isolated and alone every time they argue.<\/p>\n

He tries to steal David and Scott’s homework, saying he’s scared of how she’ll react if he’s honest about his perspective.<\/p>\n

Then he laughs as Bec says she thinks he has more reservations \ufeffthan he lets on.<\/p>\n

Oof. Cue a classic John Aiken telling-off.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Everything he’s done has made Bec think he’s just not that into her.\ufeff<\/p>\n

He says he is, but considering his lack of passion, compliments or physical touch, she can’t believe it.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“You have had\ufeff enough time to know if I am the type of person you want to be with,” she cries.<\/p>\n

“You do not have to tell me you love me, but \ufeffI’m not going to walk down to Final Vows with someone who is a maybe about me.”<\/p>\n

He blinks his way through John coaching him on how his (lack of) actions have affected their relationship.<\/p>\n

“I am just a shit boyfriend, to be honest,” he says, which John groans at.<\/p>\n

What an easy way to avoid accountability!<\/p>\n

\ufeffHe apologises for making Bec feel insecure and vows to show her he’s into her \u2013 so luckily, they’re staying.<\/p>\n

They’ve already broken up, but why not hash it out for the 300th time in front of the experts?<\/p>\n

\ufeffSam feels like Chris never forgave him for calling him out during Feedback Week, and Chris says things have felt “off” since they slept together after the Retreat.<\/p>\n

That’s news to Sam, and just another thing to add to his disappointment over how this has ended.\ufeff<\/p>\n

For good, this time, because they share their official decisions to leave.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Stella and Filip\ufeff<\/p>\n

Homestays have shown Filip how he’d fit into Stella’s world, so they’ve got a plan to move him up from Melbourne just days after the experiment.<\/p>\n

Filip’s a planner with a plan, and Stella’s an overthinker who know longer needs to worry he’s got reservations.<\/p>\n

Everybody’s happy!\ufeff I love love!<\/p>\n

Gia and Scott\ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffThey’ve barely got their bums on the couch before Scott starts crying.<\/p>\n

“What I’m going to talk about tonight, I don’t want you to be upset,” he turns to Gia.<\/p>\n

Oh, Scotty. We all know she’s going to be upset.\ufeff<\/p>\n

\"EMBARGOWe all have a breaking point and Scotty has reached his. (Nine)<\/p>\n

We also all know he’s been too scared to speak up in the relationship, and he is very reluctant to reveal what happens if he does.<\/p>\n

John says they’ve got all night. We technically have until \ufeffthe beginning of 60 Minutes, but sure.<\/p>\n

“What I’m seeing here is fake,” he \ufefftells Scott. “You sat down here, you’re petrified of Gia and you’re not answering the questions.”<\/p>\n

Finally, Scott says \ufeffhe’s felt pressured to say he loves her, and when he doesn’t she’ll call out his manhood.<\/p>\n

Gia told Scott she loved him off-camera, explaining she hurts him because she’s also felt hurt by the “rejection”.<\/p>\n

Gia feels like she can’t win\ufeff, claiming she’s also scared to bring things up because if they keep arguing he won’t fall in love.<\/p>\n

So much communication about not communicating tonight!\ufeff<\/p>\n

Scott is excited to put the advice into action this week, as they both write “stay”, but Gia …<\/p>\n

Tomorrow night, the Final Test is back and this year, it’s a group activity.<\/p>\n

The brides and grooms will be meeting with other potential matches, and you know it’s going to end in a very entertaining mess\ufeff.<\/p>\n
