(Freepik)    <\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cYou don\u2019t have to ban every &#8216;fun&#8217; food forever, but there are certain things that make losing weight so much harder. They\u2019re sneaky because they taste amazing, but they\u2019re either crazy high in calories, don\u2019t fill you up, or mess with your hunger, so you end up eating more later. Here are 8 foods I\u2019d tell you to seriously cut back on if you want to see progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>       1. Sugary drinks<\/p>\n<p>Amaka said, \u201cCoke, Fanta, sweetened iced tea, <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/doctors-say-even-healthy-people-are-at-risk-from-energy-drinks-here-s-why-101751010570611.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"energy drinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">energy drinks <\/a>\u2013 they\u2019re basically just sugar water. You drink hundreds of calories, but still feel hungry right after. Swap them for water, sparkling water, black coffee, or unsweetened tea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 2. Pastries and baked treats<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cDoughnuts, croissants, cake, all that good-smelling stuff at the bakery. They\u2019re mostly sugar, white flour, and fat. Tasty? Yes. Good for weight loss? Nope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 3. Deep-fried foods<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFries, fried chicken, onion rings \u2013 they soak up oil like a sponge, so the calories go through the roof. Air-fry or bake them instead; you\u2019ll still get the crunch,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p> 4. White bread and refined carbs<\/p>\n<p>According to Amaka, \u201cWhite bread, pasta, and most bakery rolls give you a quick sugar hit, and then boom, an energy crash, and hunger kicks back in. Go for whole-grain versions instead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 5. Ice cream and super-sugary desserts<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know, this one hurts, but the sugar and fat combo makes it so easy to overeat. <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/htcity\/htcity-foodies\/guiltfree-gur-desserts-how-to-make-healthy-jaggery-desserts-with-recipe-for-winter-snacks-and-healthy-snacks-for-kids-101736166411529.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"If you\u2019re craving something sweet\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">If you\u2019re craving something sweet<\/a>, try Greek yoghurt with berries or a little dark chocolate,\u201d Amaka said.<\/p>\n<p> 6. Processed meats<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cBacon, sausages, hot dogs\u2026 full of salt, preservatives, and fats that are not for your waistline. Switch to lean meats, chicken, fish, or plant proteins when you can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 7. Fast food burgers and pizza<\/p>\n<p>Amaka said, \u201cMost fast-food pizzas are loaded with refined carbs, fatty cheese, and greasy meat. You can still enjoy pizza; just make it at home with whole-grain bases, lighter cheese, and lots of veggies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 8. Candy and chocolate bars<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cPure sugar and fat with no real nutrition.
