Will Skelton<\/a>‘s availability for upcoming Wallabies<\/a> matches could take a serious hit with fears he’s ruptured his Achilles tendon playing club rugby in France.<\/p>\n

Skelton left the field in the first half of the Top 14 clash, which his side, La Rochelle, lost to Bayonne.<\/p>\n

According to French publication RugbyRama, La Rochelle assistant coach R\u00e9mi Tal\u00e8s revealed the fears of a rupture.<\/p>\n

“There’s a suspected Achilles tendon rupture,” he said.<\/p>\n

“It’s tough for a player like him, given the effort he’s put in to come back after his calf injury.<\/p>\n

“We’re all thinking of him and hope he recovers quickly, because we need him.”<\/p>\n

In the aftermath, Skelton posted a photo on his Instagram story with his right foot in a moon boot. He captioned the photo “C’est la vie”, French for “that’s life”.<\/p>\n

If Skelton’s Achilles has been fully ruptured, he could be on the sidelines for about six months, depending on the rehabilitation process.<\/p>\n

The giant forward has had multiple injury issues in recent seasons, including an ankle problem in November last year. He had also just returned from a calf injury.<\/p>\n
