We&#8217;ve got your back and help is coming,&#8221; Mr Cook said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The worst appears to be behind us.&#8221;Structures destroyed and roads closed<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Damage assessments are ongoing, however emergency services minister Paul Papalia today confirmed four structures in Exmouth had been destroyed and seven severely damaged, with more expected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Learmonth Airport, which sustained significant infrastructure damage, will remain closed to commercial flights for at least another week, while 30 pastoral properties have been extensively damaged.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Part of the roof was blown off by ex-TC Narelle. \" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/a773e6108b27b66ed68d5c7f9117ce0f.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Parts of the roof were blown off by Cyclone Narelle on Friday.\u00a0 (Supplied: Brock Keymer)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Flooding has forced multiple road closures, including sections of the great northern highway, north west coastal highway and Indian Ocean drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Bullara Station in WA&#8217;s north has also been heavily impacted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve seen vision that confirmed there is a vast amount of water in the region,&#8221; Mr Papalia said.<\/p>\n<p>Loading&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;We just ask that people comply with those road closures for their own safety.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">As of Sunday morning about 1400 properties in Exmouth in WA&#8217;s north remained without power, while most outages in Carnarvon had been restored.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Water supply in Exmouth had also been stabilised, with bottled water delivered to the town.<\/p>\n<p>Towns on flood watch<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">On Sunday a flood watch was issued for catchments in the Gascoyne, Central and Lower West areas, with the potential for localised flooding.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SES volunteers are sandbagging to prepare for flood waters.\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/185f3396764af676395c2e054bb5bc28.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Carnarvon emergency services volunteers are laying sandbags as they prepare for flood waters. It&#8217;s going to take a long time for the water to dissipate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s weeks in terms of cleanup.
