The One Piece<\/a> Day event<\/a> and livestream on Sunday revealed that the live-action One Piece series will have a third season.<\/p>\n The event also revealed a new trailer for the second season of the series. The video previews the giants, Smoker, Miss All Sunday, Laboon, and more for the first time. The new season is titled One Piece Into the Grand Line.<\/p>\n \n The new season will premiere<\/a> on Netflix<\/a> in 2026.<\/p>\n The event also revealed that the “One Piece Base Shop” store will open in the Shinjuku Marui building in December.<\/p>\n The second<\/a> season began<\/a> production in July 2024, and has wrapped up production. Series creator Eiichiro Oda<\/a> stated<\/a> that the second season will cover the story up to the Drum Island arc. This will include Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Twin Cape, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.<\/p>\n The second season adds<\/a> Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. He joins the first season’s writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner Matt Owens<\/a>. Season 1 co-showrunner Steve Maeda serves as executive producer. Owens announced<\/a> in March he was leaving the show after production on season 2 ended to work on his mental health.<\/p>\n The previously<\/a> announced<\/a> new<\/a> cast for season 2 includes:\n<\/p>\n The live-action One Piece series debuted<\/a> exclusively<\/a> on Netflix in August 2023. The first season had eight episodes, as opposed to 10 episodes as originally reported. The series won<\/a> awards for “Outstanding Original Song for a Children’s or Young Teen Program” and “Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Live Program” at The 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n Tomorrow Studios<\/a>, a partnership between producer Marty Adelstein<\/a> (Prison Break, Teen Wolf) and ITV Studios, produced the first live-action season. Becky Clements<\/a> served as an executive producer with Maeda.<\/p>\n
