Ronda Rousey has the gloves back on and is kicking her training into high gear, as she gets ready to enter the cage for the first time in nearly a decade!\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cExtra\u201d spoke with Rousey, who is taking on one of her heroes, MMA pioneer Gina Carano.<\/p>\n
Rousey reached out to Carano, who is making her ring return after working as an actor for a few years.<\/p>\n
Ronda shared, \u201cI was like, \u2018You know what, this is the best fight and we know that we have lightning in a bottle here.\u2019 She said that, \u2018You know what, I\u2019m going to trust you. I\u2019m going to follow your lead.\u2019 Now we\u2019re here and inadvertently changed the whole landscape of the sport.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The May 16th match, which will be broadcast live on Netflix, will also be Ronda\u2019s first as a mom.<\/p>\n
Rousey wants to battle \u201cthe best version\u201d of Gina, adding, \u201cI\u2019m doing the exact same thing for her.”<\/p>\n
Ronda has a different approach nowadays, saying, \u201cI\u2019m actually enjoying myself and enjoying the journey and not just solely focused on the result, which is really what I was doing before.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rousey has been training while her family by her side.<\/p>\n
She shared, \u201cMy husband built an octagon in our garage. My older daughter was watching me do sparring drills, sitting on the side. She\u2019s like, \u2018Mom, why are you doing that?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Because it\u2019s what I\u2019m supposed to be doing.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Ronda already has plans for when she hangs up the gloves, saying, \u201cI would like to have more kids.
