The show is based on the\u00a0Tomb Raider\u00a0video game franchise, which follows the adventures of the famed archaeologist and adventurer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cSophie Turner\u00a0recently experienced a minor injury,\u201d Amazon\u00a0MGM Studios said. \u201cAs a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe nature of the injury is unclear. The crew will continue to be paid while production is paused, sources said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe studio announced the start of production on Jan. 15, <a href=\"https:\/\/The%20series%20is%20from%20Phoebe%20Waller-Bridge%20(Fleabag),%20who%20serves%20as%20creator,%20writer,%20executive%20producer%20and%20co-showrunner,%20alongside%20Chad%20Hodge%20as%20co-showrunner%20and%20executive%20producer.%20They%20are%20joined%20by%20Jonathan%20Van%20Tulleken%20who%20will%20serve%20as%20director%20and%20executive%20producer.\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">sharing a first-look image<\/a> of Turner as Croft.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan,\u00a0 Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie and August Wittgenstein.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Waller-Bridge is creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Chad Hodge, who is co-showrunner and executive producer. They are joined by Jonathan Van Tulleken, who will serve as director and executive producer.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The series is executive produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Films, Dmitri M.
