Demetrious Johnson is making his way to the UFC Hall of Fame, and he has revealed what he\u2019s proud of the most.<\/p>\n
Johnson is widely considered to be one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time<\/a>. He still holds the record for the most successful consecutive title defenses in UFC history. Some wonder if that record will ever be broken.<\/p>\n Above all of his accomplishments and record-breaking moments, it\u2019s the consistency that \u201cMighty Mouse\u201d cares about the most. He explained during a backstage interview<\/a> at UFC Seattle (h\/t MMAJunkie<\/a>).<\/p>\n \u201cJust my consistency (is the best part of my career),\u201d Johnson said. \u201cMaking weight, passing every drug test, defending the belt. Just being consistent every single night I stepped inside that octagon. I think a lot of people don\u2019t realize, I think it was said by Matt Hughes, but it\u2019s easy to become a champion and stay a champion and be consistent.<\/p>\n \u201cNow when you look at it, it\u2019s maybe two, three, four consecutive title defenses. Obviously there\u2019s more things about that because everyone wants to be a double champ or triple champ and all that stuff. But to be consistent every single night when I competed is probably one thing that\u2019ll be close to my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnson said he\u2019s also happy that he never had an ego throughout his historic run. He said that people who thought he was \u201cboring\u201d never fazed him because he simply did what he was supposed to do.<\/p>\n \u201cMighty Mouse\u201d will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame class of 2026 this summer. UFC has yet to announce plans for International Fight Week, but White hasn\u2019t ruled out a July show featuring Conor McGregor.
