Rafael Jodar<\/a> and Martin Landaluce<\/a> are setting the early pace in the Next Gen Race.<\/p>\n The Spanish stars both played at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah in December and will be eager to compete at the tournament again in 2026. Jodar is first in the Live Race, having advanced to the third round at the Miami Open presented by Itau<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n The 19-year-old, who won three ATP Challenger titles in 2025, came through qualifying and then beat Yannick Hanfmann<\/a> and Aleksandar Vukic<\/a> before losing to Tomas Martin Etcheverry<\/a>.<\/p>\n View The Next Gen Race Standings<\/a><\/p>\n Landaluce\u2019s run in Florida was even more impressive. Having arrived in Miami without a tour-level win in 2026, the 20-year-old clinched four consecutive main draw victories, including three against Top 50 opponents. Entering Miami as the World No. 151, Landaluce was the lowest-ranked quarter-finalist at the event since World No. 185 Jim Grabb<\/a> in 1994 and the first player born in 2006 or later to advance to the last eight at a Masters 1000 event.<\/p>\n He is up 10 places to second in the Live Race and is now on the brink of the Top 100 in the PIF ATP Rankings.<\/p>\n Joao Fonseca<\/a>, Moise Kouame<\/a> and Rei Sakamoto<\/a> also record wins at the ATP Masters 1000 event, making it the first time since Miami in 2007 that five teenagers had all reached the second round at that level.<\/p>\n Fonseca beat Fabian Marozsan<\/a> before losing to Carlos Alcaraz<\/a>, while Kouame downed Zachary Svajda<\/a> on his Masters 1000 debut. Sakamoto eliminated Aleksandar Kovacevic<\/a> but then fell to Daniil Medvedev<\/a> in three sets.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
