Tiger Woods appears to be making a profit from his DUI car crash arrest after fans rushed to buy the same polo shirt he was wearing in his now infamous mugshot.<\/p>\n
The 50-year-old golf legend was sporting the blue polo from his own Sun Day Red clothing brand when he was arrested following another rollover car crash<\/a> in Jupiter Island, Florida, on Saturday.<\/p>\n The NY Post<\/a> reports tn the hours after his mugshot was released, the USD $125 (A$182) polo shirt was quickly snapped up online in every size.<\/p>\n The polo was no longer available on the company\u2019s website as of Monday.<\/p>\n \u201cI guess that\u2019s one way to market your products\u2026,\u201d one social media user quipped.<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t immediately clear how much Woods \u2014 who is worth $1.5 billion, according to Forbes \u2014 makes from his clothing brand.<\/p>\n The embattled golf great was hit with the DUI charge for allegedly being under the influence of drugs when he rolled his Range Rover on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n He showed signs of impairment at the crash scene, according to the Martin County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n Woods tested negative for alcohol impairment on a breathalyser check but refused a urinalysis test.<\/p>\n Investigators believe he was allegedly under the influence of \u201csome type of medication or drug\u201d at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cThis could have been a lot worse,\u201d Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said.<\/p>\n Woods \u2014 who was forced to crawl out of his overturned SUV from the passenger door \u2014 was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusing a lawful test.<\/p>\n He was released on bail some eight hours after his arrest.<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear if Woods will attend The Masters at Augusta National next week, where he is a five-time winner and a regular attendee of the champions\u2019 dinner. <\/p>\n
