Zac Lomax will make his Western Force debut<\/a> against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane on Saturday night, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a> and Code Sports reported that Lomax was set to be named in the Force’s gameday 23 on Wednesday afternoon (AEDT).<\/p>\n

Force veteran Kurtley Beale said the NRL code-hopper reminded him of former NSW Waratahs and Wallabies teammate Israel Folau.<\/p>\n

“Zac brings that same presence and athleticism,” Beale told the Herald.<\/p>\n

“He’s obviously played at the highest level in rugby league and been in some great teams with Origin and the Kangaroos,” Beale said.<\/p>\n

“So no doubt we’ll be able to try and tap into some of his knowledge around pressure moments, where I feel like at the moment we’re kind of struggling…<\/p>\n

“He’s a good lad and physically, he’s built like a brick. He’s actually quite tall, too, so if you’re in the outside backs, he’d be a great asset to be able to get some go forward on the edges, that’s for sure.”<\/p>\n

Force coach Simon Cron has indicated that Lomax, who hasn’t played rugby since he was 15, will likely get his first taste of rugby on the wing.<\/p>\n

The Force are 10th of 11 teams in Super Rugby Pacific.
