How can you not love this guy? I mean, there\u2019s lots going on these days but Tadej Poga\u010dar has a helluva social media and public presence. And he just made a fan\u2019s day with a simple comment.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen these videos for years. \u201cIf I get a million likes bla bla bla,\u201d you know the drill.<\/p>\n

A cute Instagram video has taken on a life of its own after Tadej Poga\u010dar dropped into the comments.<\/p>\n

Ethan Thompson, a physiotherapist, filmed himself asking his wife what it would take for him to justify buying a new bike. Not just any bike, but specifically a Colnago Y1Rs, the same model ridden by the world champ. They ain\u2019t cheap. (Don\u2019t worry, Pogi gets a deal.)<\/p>\n

Her terms were steep. She said it would take a million likes. Then she hummed and hawed and added that the Tour de France winner needed to comment.<\/p>\n

His response: \u201cSo, like Tadej Poga\u010dar? You know that\u2019s impossible, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

To which the wife laughed and said, \u201cwell you better get working.\u201d<\/p>\n

Didn\u2019t take long before guess who showed up in the comments. And, given the kind of guy Pogi seems to be, this wasn\u2019t a social media manager like many celebs, but probably the champ himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood luck,\u201d Poga\u010dar commented. \u201cAnd if you have purchased the bike, don\u2019t forget to buy a gift for the boss in the house. Whoever of you is.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s still got a way to go until he gets 1 million likes. But getting Pogi to comment is something.<\/p>\n

Trust me\u2014back in 2022 there was a funny story on the pages of Canadian Cycling Magazine, entitled, \u201cUr\u0161ka \u017digart\u2019s boyfriend won the Slovenian national road championships.\u201d<\/a> It was poking fun at Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad<\/a> that ran a story, \u201c\u2018Girlfriend of Poga\u010dar stranded 75 (!) metres from the finish in Switzerland, Eleonora Gasparrini wins the sprint and puts an end to SD Worx\u2019s winning streak.\u201d The Internet was gobsmacked that a pro cyclist in her own right was reduced to a nameless partner.<\/p>\n

The story went viral, as it were, and eventually Poga\u010dar himself shared it.<\/p>\n

You never know when the world champ is gonna show up, it seems.<\/p>\n
