BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys tennis team served up its season opener with a dominating 5-0 sweep over visiting Bath on Monday, March 30.<\/p>\n
The Pirate netmen did not drop a set in the lopsided match to begin their season 1-0. Bluffton swept all three singles matches by a 36-0 count in games. In all, they lost only one game in the match.<\/p>\n
Senior Grady Coonfare rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles.<\/p>\n
Senior Isaiah Kohli also cruised to a win at second singles by a 6-0, 6-0 count.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Toby Yarnell made it a clean sweep at third singles with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph.<\/p>\n
Senior Hudson Phillips and junior Braydon McClure rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at first doubles.<\/p>\n
The sophomore duo of Micah Lemley and Ezra Nygaard won by forfeit at second doubles.<\/p>\n
The Pirates open the season with three home matches vs. Western Buckeye League foes. Bluffton is slated to host Elida on Tuesday and entertain Shawnee on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
