Yesterday, all the wives went on dates with their backup husbands<\/a> and absolutely nothing inappropriate happened. They were perfect angels who definitely didn\u2019t flirt, exchange numbers, or tell strangers they\u2019re only \u201c70 per cent\u201d invested in their marriages.<\/p>\n \u2026 At least, that\u2019s the story they\u2019re trying to sell today. Unfortunately for them, producers have footage. And iPads. He refused to participate, treating it like a work compliance training he had no interest in completing.<\/p>\n Gia squeals with delight and kisses him. \u201cI\u2019m very happy Scott didn\u2019t go through with the date today.\u201d<\/p>\n Scott asks how her date went.<\/p>\n \u201cNone of us did anything wrong \u2026 I don\u2019t think,\u201d Gia says, rolling her eyes about how her alternative groom tried to seduce her. \u201cI said, \u2018Back off \u2014 I\u2019m not the kind of girl who cheats and flirts\u2019. I didn\u2019t flirt with him at all.\u201d<\/p>\n Funny how the cameras didn\u2019t manage to capture any of this alleged boundary-setting.<\/p>\n What she doesn\u2019t mention: how she told her alternative match she\u2019d hook up with him if they met at a bar. How he wrote down his phone number for her. How she told him, \u201cI\u2019m done in a week. I\u2019m literally done,\u201d before suggesting ways he could potentially contact her online. <\/p>\n Just minor details, really.<\/p>\n But Gia\u2019s got bigger problems. Around their suite, all her bags are packed. She has made a sudden declaration of love and is trying to convince Scott they should flee the experiment immediately.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t wanna do it anymore. I actually came for someone and I found him,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n Scott\u2019s confused. \u201cWe\u2019re literally two days out from finishing the entire experiment.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe need to get the f**k out,\u201d Gia insists, like a fugitive on the run.<\/p>\n Scott wants to stay. He has been dreaming of the big romantic moment at final vows \u2014 the declaration, the celebration, the closure. He tries to organise a date with Gia to talk it through.<\/p>\n But out on the street, Gia unleashes.<\/p>\n She spots the camera crew stuck on the other side of the road and assumes they can\u2019t hear. Spoiler: they can.<\/p>\n She lashes out at Scott, spitting accusations and ultimatums.<\/p>\n \u201cYou never gave a f**k about me. Go away. I\u2019m leaving. If you\u2019re not coming with me, then let\u2019s break up right now.\u201d<\/p>\n She suddenly peers across the street and sees the camera operator. She huffs. \u201cThey\u2019re listening to everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Um \u2026 yes. You have a microphone strapped to your body. <\/p>\n Gia continues terrorising the general public on the footpath before jumping in an Uber and speeding off to the airport. Her wedding ring is left behind on the kitchen bench like evidence at a crime scene.<\/p>\n Scott runs back to Trash Tower in tears.<\/p>\n Now seems like the perfect opportunity for producers to hand him the iPad.<\/p>\n Scott sits down and presses play.<\/p>\n There\u2019s Gia flirting with her alternative match. Asking how much money he earns. Declaring she wants to be a trophy wife. Admitting she\u2019d hook up with him in the real world. Telling him she\u2019s done with the experiment in a week and he can find her online. Accepting his phone number via Bec, the helpful middleman.<\/p>\n Scott watches it all.<\/p>\n \u201cThat is f**king putrid. That\u2019s disgusting,\u201d he says. \u201cShe literally lied to my face. She wanted to leave because she was scared for me to see what she actually did at the final test.\u201d<\/p>\n The pieces fall into place.<\/p>\n \u201cThe truth always comes out. You cannot hide YOU \u2014 THIS is Gia, this has been Gia the whole time. I was about to buy a massive house for both of us. I was about to pay for her to move all her stuff up to the Gold Coast. I was about to give my whole life to her AND her daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n He breaks down. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m done. This is my answer. I feel sorry for you Gia but we are done. She\u2019s a complete manipulator and hypocrite. She just f**ked me over. I paid for everything this whole experiment. I\u2019m f**king torn apart. I just got f**ked! The tapes roll of Bec flirting with her alt groom \u2014 asking about circumcision before declaring, \u201cI want someone who f**ks me!\u201d<\/p>\n As Danny tries to explain his frustration with the behaviour, Bec gets defensive and plays the victim.
