Honda\u2019s Joan Mir says he has \u201czero regrets\u201d about his crashes at the MotoGP United States Grand Prix, despite not finishing a Sunday race in 2026 yet.<\/p>\n
The 2020 world champion was on for a potential sprint podium at COTA last weekend when he fell while chasing KTM\u2019s Pedro Acosta.<\/p>\n
The error proved even more disappointing, as Acosta was given a tyre pressure penalty after the sprint, stripping him of third place.<\/p>\n
Joan Mir<\/a> was then running inside the top six in the grand prix when he crashed out again, bringing his DNF tally to three from three in 2026.<\/p>\n So far, Mir has only three points to his credit with a seventh-place finish in the Thailand sprint.<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Explaining the crash on Sunday at COTA, Mir said it was \u201cthe consequence of being at the limit of the bike\u201d, and has \u201czero regrets\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, today has been a bit of a consequence of just being on the limit of the bike,\u201d he told the official MotoGP website.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s a bit the thing. We have to analyse well what happened because it was quite unexpected, a little bit like yesterday.<\/p>\n \u201cAs you can imagine, I\u2019m disappointed because we showed a very good potential.<\/p>\n \u201cIn these three races, we\u2019ve always shown good potential, and to be consistently in that top five.
