He, when I watched him at Georgia, I was like, his arm is good enough, but not really overwhelming.<\/p>\n

Yeah.<\/p>\n

I watch him now and I’m like, man, some of the dig routes he’s throwing, some of those seam routes, I’m like, all right, he can, he can spin it.<\/p>\n

And it’s not like special.<\/p>\n

But again, it’s like Davis Mills- Yeah where it’s like this is a B-minus like NFL capable level arm.<\/p>\n

And then I think you add on that, on You add on top of the fact that like, I think mechanically he’s pretty quick, even if it’s not like anything super insane and then he’s just I think my sell with him and like why I kinda liked him, I think his game plays up well just in the sense that he to me is a guy who, compared to especially all the other quarterbacks in this class other than Mendoza, I think he plays on time fairly well.<\/p>\n

I think Miami’s offense did ask him to run like a relatively pro offense and like go through his progressions and he’s like, “Gotta get one to two to three, stay on time.”<\/p>\n

I think he, this is usually a, a negative, but I actually do think this is important, he gets to his checkdowns really efficiently and consistently and throws them well.<\/p>\n

And if you’re going to be a guy who is on the like high backup floating into low starter tier, like that’s a really good trait to have, and I think that he has it.<\/p>\n

And so I think he just does a lot of things that like set a decent baseline, and I think he’s aggressive enough when he’s gotta be.<\/p>\n

Like some of their shot plays I think, I think he did a good job at delivering those.<\/p>\n

Like, he just Again, I, I don’t think the ceiling is all that sexy or that high, but I was like, listen, if Davis Mills can be like quarterback 37, I, I think that Beck could be that or a little bit better in the right circumstances.<\/p>\n

I’ve been dreading having to name a quarterback four.<\/p>\n

I don’t think any other quarterback is gonna make my top 100. like I think there’s some interesting dart throws, and I think if I had to name one, like if I was going past 100 and starting to get more round four, round day three guys, I think Carson Beck would be my QB four.<\/p>\n

Taylen Green maybe if I’m feeling frisky.<\/p>\n

But again, like Taylen Green is a guy I still consider not even round four.<\/p>\n

I’m like round five, round six with him, and that’s with all of his traits and everything.<\/p>\n

but no, I, I think he’s kind of the default quarterback, the two sweetest words in the English language.<\/p>\n

Like, he has the size, check.<\/p>\n

He has enough arm.<\/p>\n

Like, his arm t- power or strength is kind of reminiscent of maybe Purdy, like where it’s like, okay, you get enough, but it’s like you maybe don’t have enough juice, but once in a while he can drive on something, maybe a little bit better than Purdy.<\/p>\n

The guys who have really, really good arm strength, they can get like arc under the ball on their deep throws- Yeah where some of the guys with the middling arm, like they, they kinda just line drive it and chuck it ’cause that’s all they can do.<\/p>\n

Yeah.<\/p>\n

There, that’s my concern with Beck is like when he’s throwing down the field- Yes you just don’t really get the arc and loft that you want, so you’re kinda leaving some throws on the board there.<\/p>\n

But again, I think if you can piece together a decent e- enough offense in the zero to 20 yard area where like I, I do think he plays on time well in quick game.<\/p>\n

Again, he gets to his checkdowns.<\/p>\n

Some of those, like you said, when he’s confident where the dig route’s gonna be or that seam route or whatever, he will throw those.<\/p>\n

And so I think that kinda gives you enough.<\/p>\n

And then I, I, I don’t think he’s special in these areas, but for, again, this tier of quarterback of backup to borderline starter, I think he clears the bar for like throwing with pressure in his face in terms of like willingness to do it, and then like in terms of like ball location.<\/p>\n

Again, I, I probably agree he’s got a couple of sprays, but it’s not, it, it’s not so much that like pulls him down to like the sixth round.<\/p>\n

Again, it’s like this is like the, for what he’s going to be as like a borderline top 100 player, I, I think it’s fine.<\/p>\n

So he’s, again, not the sexiest guy, but I watched all these other guys.<\/p>\n

Yeah.<\/p>\n

And maybe it’s just in comparison, right?<\/p>\n

Like, maybe I just didn’t like any of the other guys enough- Default that I was like, “Hey, Carson Beck.”<\/p>\n
