{"id":577726,"date":"2026-04-01T03:56:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T03:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/577726\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T03:56:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T03:56:13","slug":"safety-recommendations-adopted-for-bathurst-6-hour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/577726\/","title":{"rendered":"Safety recommendations adopted for Bathurst 6 Hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RECOMMENDATIONS made following an investigation into the crash that marred the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour have been adopted ahead of this weekend\u2019s Bathurst 6 Hour.<\/p>\n<p>Motorsport Australia\u2019s findings were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/date-set-for-bathurst-12-hour-crash-investigation-findings\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">last night presented to the Roland Dane-chaired Motorsport Risk and Safety Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe report was tabled and adopted, and there was good discussion around safety precautions that should be put in place for the 6 Hour,\u201d Motorsport Australia CEO Josh Blanskby told V8 Sleuth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that will be around the mirroring of flags across the top of the Mountain, and having extra driver education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flag mirroring is about providing drivers with further notice at multiple flag points prior to reaching an incident site, while the education element is a mandatory component for competitors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s been done leading into the 6 Hour, and if you haven\u2019t done it, you can\u2019t start.
