Wesley principal Ross Barron and Penrhos principal Kalea Haran created a professional video \u2014 which included drone shoots of both campuses and has more than 500 likes \u2014 to share the \u201cmilestone announcement\u201d that both schools will unite to create \u201cPensley College\u201d in 2028.<\/p>\n
\u201cCommunities of Wesley and Penrhos College, today we are sharing some exciting news,\u201d Mr Barron begins.<\/p>\n
The social media post said the new co-ed school would be split across the two campuses and bring together \u201cthe best of both worlds\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ms Haran said the idea came from the work on the schools\u2019 combined rowing shed, showing what is \u201ctruly possible when two strong communities come together and share facilities and resources\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo after careful consideration, our councils have agreed to take the next logical step,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom 2028, Penrhos and Wesley College will combine to form a single co-ed school,\u201d Mr Barron said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re calling it: Pensley College,\u201d Ms Haran added.<\/p>\n

Students would learn across both campuses in Como and South Perth, making \u201cfull use of the specialist facilities and the combined resources\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne community. Shared values. Expanded opportunities,\u201d Ms Haran said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s early days, but we\u2019re excited about this new future. More information will follow \u2014 but in the words of our new motto…\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cModo locus est,\u201d they said together.<\/p>\n
At the end of the video the two walk off, with Mr Barron joking that he thinks it should be called Wesrhos.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh like, Where\u2019s Ross? Like your staff are always saying \u2018Where\u2019s Ross, Where\u2019s Ross, Where\u2019s Ross?\u2019,\u201d Ms Haran said.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re kidding me, it has such a catchy tune!\u201d Mr Barron said.<\/p>\n
Almost 100 comments flooded the Facebook post, with some forgetting about April Fools\u2019 day.<\/p>\n
\u201cWonderful. Just think of all the great weddings that will happen!!\u201d one said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh my god. I thought that was real!\u201d another read.<\/p>\n
\u201cNooo you scared me for a minute there!\u201d a third poster added.<\/p>\n
Other commentators knew the joke straight away, as Wesley College is known for its April Fools\u2019 Day pranks.<\/p>\n
