<\/p>\nBruce Springsteen did not hold back when he tore strips off the American felon at the first E Street Band concert in Minneapolis Tuesday night 31 March 2026. <\/p>\n
Springsteen opened with an address to the audience sharing a prayer for American\u2019s in service at the illegal war in Iran. <\/p>\n
Bruce said:<\/p>\n
\u201cWelcome to The Land of Hope and Dreams American tour. I want to begin the night with a prayer for our men and women overseas. We pray for their safe return. The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call amongst the righteous power of art, music, of rock and roll and dangerous times. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are here in celebration and defence of our American ideals, our democracy, our constitution and our scared American promise. The America I love, the America I have written about for 50 years, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty around the world, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless and treasonous administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cTonight we ask all of you to join with us in choosing Hope over Fear, Democracy over Authoritarianism. The Rule of Law over Lawlessness. Ethics over Unbridled Corruption. Resistance over Complacency. Unity over Division and Peace over \u2026\u201d (into the song \u2018War\u2019)<\/p>\n
