Mitchell spent five seasons with the Tigers, including\u00a0four\u00a0as an assistant coach\u00a0with\u00a0Redus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{2d95d8ce-8802-45db-bf74-3a0204bd99f4}{139}\" paraid=\"534351948\">Mitchell played a key role in LSU&#8217;s recruiting success, helping secure two\u00a0top-ranked classes alongside Redus and was instrumental in the Tigers&#8217; 2023 national championship run.\u00a0She worked closely with the post unit, developing a dominant frontcourt that shined on both ends of the floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{2d95d8ce-8802-45db-bf74-3a0204bd99f4}{153}\" paraid=\"595767280\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve had the opportunity to see up\u00a0close\u00a0the impact Daph has made, and it is undeniable,&#8221; said Redus. &#8220;She&#8217;s\u00a0someone who is deeply respected, not only as a coach, but as a person. She brings\u00a0a high level\u00a0of\u00a0expertise\u00a0and an even higher level of character. Our players will have someone they can go to, learn from and trust to help them grow both on and off the court. Under her guidance, both rank among LSU&#8217;s top 10 all-time rebounders.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{2d95d8ce-8802-45db-bf74-3a0204bd99f4}{179}\" paraid=\"828163827\">Mitchell previously spent six seasons under Kim Mulkey at Baylor, contributing to recruiting, scouting, social media, film\u00a0breakdown\u00a0and game preparation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{2d95d8ce-8802-45db-bf74-3a0204bd99f4}{189}\" paraid=\"1146002983\">Prior to her time in Waco, Mitchell served\u00a0two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Murray State. Mitchell\u00a0also\u00a0held assistant coaching roles at Jacksonville and Tennessee Tech.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{2d95d8ce-8802-45db-bf74-3a0204bd99f4}{207}\" paraid=\"1462211289\">Mitchell played collegiately at Georgia Tech from 2004-08. During her career with the Yellow Jackets, Mitchell played in 108 games. In 2006, Mitchell was honored by the ACC with a Top Six for Service\u00a0award for her\u00a0commitment to\u00a0the Atlanta community,\u00a0where she worked with\u00a0the Susan\u00a0G. She most recently spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{42}\" paraid=\"267653277\">She also served as the Owls recruiting coordinator, leading the charge to sign the program&#8217;s first top 100 class.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{52}\" paraid=\"125527318\">Prior to\u00a0her time in Boca Raton,\u00a0Redus served as the head coach at Palm Beach Atlantic from 2018-25, taking over a Sailfish program in its first year as a full member of the Sunshine State Conference.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{66}\" paraid=\"1330636653\">&#8220;Manisha and I have had the opportunity to work together before, and I have so much respect and reverence for who she is and how she approaches the game,&#8221; added Redus. &#8220;She has one of the greatest\u00a0basketball\u00a0minds\u00a0I&#8217;ve\u00a0ever been around, and she played a huge role in showing me the ropes of coaching, from recruiting to scouting and everything in between. Beyond that,\u00a0she&#8217;s\u00a0a true relationship-driven coach who connects with people in a meaningful way.\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0excited for more people to see what\u00a0I&#8217;ve\u00a0been fortunate to experience firsthand.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{80}\" paraid=\"481585949\">Under her leadership, Palm Beach Atlantic returned to the SSC Tournament in 2024-25, highlighted by six SSC weekly honors and two All-SSC selections. Anabell Ellison led the conference in steals, while Kash Ayuso ranked second in scoring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{90}\" paraid=\"408059333\">The Sailfish posted their best season under Redus in 2023-24, featuring the conference&#8217;s leading scorer (Ayuso, 19.7 ppg) and leading rebounder (Mariyah Fletcher, 10.7\u00a0rpg).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{100}\" paraid=\"1354792697\">In 2022-23, Redus guided the program to its first double-digit win season\u00a0since\u00a02015-16\u00a0when the team joined\u00a0the\u00a0Sunshine State Conference. During the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 campaign, she led the Sailfish to their first SSC Tournament appearance, advancing to the finals. That season also saw Shekinah Guthrie named SSC Defensive Player of the Year,\u00a0the first in program history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{126}\" paraid=\"79526460\">Before Palm Beach Atlantic, Redus spent three seasons as an assistant coach at West Georgia, helping the program increase its win total each year and reach the Gulf South Conference Tournament twice. She also served as an assistant coach at Montevallo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{136}\" paraid=\"1660354287\">A four-year standout at Alabama from 2000-04, Redus\u00a0started every game of her junior and senior seasons.\u00a0The Decatur,\u00a0Alabama\u00a0native\u00a0earned her bachelor&#8217;s degree in marketing\u00a0in\u00a02005.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{146ef613-335f-4461-8dbe-f1cf24247c01}{42}\" paraid=\"356614000\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">PRESTON BEVERLY\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Preston Beverly\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/PrestonBeverly.JPEG\" style=\"display: inline-block;\" width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{34}\" paraid=\"559966309\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Preston Beverly comes to Rutgers with 19 years of experience on the sideline, most recently serving two seasons as an assistant coach at Missouri from 2023-25.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bbe390d6-b7c0-48ee-9c85-9e4f189d863c}{67}\" paraid=\"1408044793\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">During the 2024-25 season, Beverly played a pivotal role in the development of Grace Slaughter, who led the Tigers with 15.0 points per game and was named SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Under his guidance, Slaughter significantly improved her three-point shooting, connecting on 45.9 percent from beyond the arc, an 8.8 percent increase from her\u00a0freshman\u00a0to sophomore season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{48}\" paraid=\"388309492\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Beverly also helped elevate Mama Dembele&#8217;s performance, as the Tigers&#8217; point guard earned All-SEC Defensive Team honors while ranking among the top 10 nationally in both steals and assists.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{9312ac22-b052-40c1-a733-9e9b707b2498}{42}\" paraid=\"1463795840\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">During his first season with the Tigers,\u00a0he helped Hayley Frank to new heights as she broke 2,000 career points and currently ranks fourth on the program&#8217;s all-time scoring list.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Preston has a great passion for the little things when it comes to coaching, evaluating and recruiting,&#8221; Redus said. &#8220;He has a great reputation, and so many people I trust had nothing but great things to say about him. He brings a diverse background with experience as a JUCO head coach, AAU coach and Division III assistant, and he&#8217;s had to grind every step of the way. That&#8217;s exactly what we need in this program. I&#8217;m excited to watch him go to work and help us continue building this program the right way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{55}\" paraid=\"588778168\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">A veteran coach, Beverly joined Missouri after serving as head coach at Evangel for two seasons. He led the Valor to consecutive Heart Tournament Quarterfinal appearances and coached five all-conference selections during his tenure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{62}\" paraid=\"1076219071\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Prior to Evangel, Beverly worked extensively on the grassroots circuit. He served as a hub director with Nike Girls Missouri Phenom EYBL which has had several top finishes on the GEYBL circuit. He also coached and was program director for Nike Girls Exodus NYC EYBL middle school programs. During his work with the Exodus 17U EYBL\u00a0squad\u00a0they featured four ESPN Top 50 recruits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{69}\" paraid=\"1309597681\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Beverly transitioned to the women&#8217;s sideline as an assistant coach at Hofstra during the 2019\u201320 season. Prior to that, he spent four years at Richard Bland College of William &amp; Mary (2015\u201319) on the men&#8217;s side, where he served as an assistant coach for three seasons before being elevated to head coach in 2018-19. During his time there, he coached seven all-region players and led the program to a Final Four appearance, two district championships and a Region X title.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{76}\" paraid=\"1540766001\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">His\u00a0previous\u00a0stops also include Lincoln College of New England, Nyack College, Bowdoin\u00a0College\u00a0and SUNY New Paltz with the men&#8217;s programs. At Lincoln, Beverly built\u00a0a highly successful\u00a0program that averaged 20 wins per season, compiled a .727 winning\u00a0percentage\u00a0and earned its first-ever NJCAA National Tournament appearance. He was also named\u00a0District\u00a0Coach of the Year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{83}\" paraid=\"1811196576\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Beverly earned his degree in computer science, with minors in psychology and math, from\u00a0Virginia\u00a0Military Institute in 2006, where he reached the rank of S-6 Lieutenant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{56d303f5-0ab5-4a62-bdba-6a250d7f27d4}{66}\" paraid=\"817663863\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Beverly has strong ties to New Jersey through his parents. His mother, Sharon Beverly, served as the head coach at FDU from 1988-1999 and was later inducted into the FDU Hall of Fame in 2012. His father, Randy Beverly Sr., enjoyed a standout NFL career as a cornerback and played a key role in helping the New York Jets capture their only Super Bowl in 1969.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{bb2ed61a-8749-4275-beba-df748fe23f8c}{90}\" paraid=\"484248503\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">He and his wife, Danielle, have four children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{172}\" paraid=\"2052372625\">MATTHEW BRUNE\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Matthew Brune\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/MatthewBrune.JPEG\" style=\"display: inline-block;\" width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{188}\" paraid=\"1274012663\">Matthew Brune will serve as general manager\u00a0for the program,\u00a0driving strategy in recruiting, player analysis and Name,\u00a0Image\u00a0and Likeness (NIL).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{206}\" paraid=\"1794638381\">Brune most recently served as a\u00a0sportswriter\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0Bengal\u00a0Tiger\u00a0On3, where he covered men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s basketball recruiting and provided in-depth team analysis. He also contributed to\u00a0On3 National, focusing on recruiting evaluations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{244}\" paraid=\"340328640\">&#8220;I had the opportunity to work very closely with Matthew at LSU, and he brings an extensive knowledge of both the current collegiate landscape and the recruiting world,&#8221; stated Redus. &#8220;He&#8217;s\u00a0someone who works relentlessly, and\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0excited to see what he can do in this new role.\u00a0We&#8217;ve\u00a0built great chemistry, and he\u00a0truly understands\u00a0my vision for how I want the program to\u00a0operate. That familiarity will allow him to thrive in NIL, roster\u00a0construction\u00a0and talent evaluation.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{063681c6-6f86-4d9c-8256-02f911f79a39}{254}\" paraid=\"294422611\">Throughout his career, Brune has built strong relationships with coaches and student-athletes nationwide while working with outlets such as\u00a0Dave Campbell&#8217;s Texas Basketball,\u00a0247Sports, the\u00a0Denton Record-Chronicle\u00a0and the\u00a0North Texas Daily.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{25}\" paraid=\"1598362498\">A graduate\u00a0of\u00a0North Texas, Brune\u00a0earned his degree in journalism with a concentration in print and digital media.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{41}\" paraid=\"1480613773\">LADAZHIA WILLIAMS\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"LaDazhia Williams\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/LaDazhiaWilliams.JPEG\" style=\"display: inline-block;\" width=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{47}\" paraid=\"575618110\">LaDazhia\u00a0Williams brings extensive on-court experience\u00a0and success\u00a0to Piscataway after winning a national championship\u00a0with the\u00a0LSU\u00a0Tigers\u00a0in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{69}\" paraid=\"1923105905\">&#8220;I was fortunate enough to coach\u00a0LaDazhia\u00a0and now I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with her,&#8221; said Redus. &#8220;Her leadership on the 2023 championship team at LSU was invaluable, and\u00a0that&#8217;s\u00a0something\u00a0she&#8217;ll\u00a0be able to bring to this program right away. She has a calming presence but is also a fierce competitor. I think very highly of her and believe she has the potential for a long, successful career in this profession. She can still get out on the court and play, which will be a huge asset in developing our post players.\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0excited for her to begin her coaching journey with us.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{79}\" paraid=\"901354613\">Williams started all 34 games during LSU&#8217;s title run, averaging 9.9 points and a career-high 6.0 rebounds per game in her final collegiate season. She elevated her play in the NCAA Tournament, posting 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds\u00a0per game across LSU&#8217;s six-game\u00a0championship run.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{97}\" paraid=\"927962812\">Williams\u00a0was selected in the second round of the 2023 WNBA Draft, 17th overall, by the Indiana Fever before going on to play professionally overseas in Israel, France, Mexico, Greece,\u00a0Romania\u00a0and Lebanon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{0c696b70-9e45-4a62-aaa4-0ea74739d999}{109}\" paraid=\"1392794013\">Williams spent her collegiate career in the SEC, beginning at South Carolina\u00a0for two seasons. She transferred\u00a0to Missouri where she played three seasons,\u00a0before\u00a0finishing\u00a0her final year of eligibility\u00a0with the Tigers.\u00a0Prior to her collegiate career, Williams was ranked as the nation&#8217;s No. 12 forward and the No. 48 overall prospect in the Class of 2017 by\u00a0ESPNW.
