Brittany Cartwright <\/a>is doing her best to work out an amicable coparenting arrangement with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re working on the coparenting situation. We\u2019re trying to make it better,\u201d Brittany, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, March 30, while promoting season 3 of Bravo\u2019s The Valley<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s not easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThere\u2019s just so many different things that go into it where it\u2019s not the best, but it is better than it was two years ago. That\u2019s a plus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brittany and Jax, 46, welcomed son Cruz in April 2021, nearly three years before their separation. Brittany filed for divorce in August 2024 and now has primary custody<\/a> of 4-year-old Cruz, with Jax receiving biweekly visitation. The now-exes have yet to finalize their divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re working on getting the house appraised,\u201d Brittany told Us of their divorce timeline, noting she is hopeful to \u201cget another date set\u201d after the appraisal is completed. \u201cEverything should be good to go after that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brittany further explained that she plans to stay in what was once her shared house with Jax.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my house. [I] already moved Cruz around for seven months. He loves that place,\u201d she said. \u201cI love that house. I\u2019ve been taking care of everything by myself for a very long time now, so I\u2019m proud of that. And yeah, that\u2019s my house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brittany\u2019s post-divorce chapter will be documented on The Valley season 3 after Jax\u2019s exit. (Jax confirmed his Bravo departure<\/a> in July 2025 amid his ongoing sobriety and mental health challenges.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI think [last season] was very dark because there was a certain someone who was there, and now he is not on season three,\u201d Brittany teased to Us of the new episodes. \u201cIt is already a lot lighter, just because of that. I think that, obviously, there\u2019s still gonna be drama, but there\u2019s so much more lightness and fun and funny things that we get to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Brittany, The Valley stars Kristen Doute, Luke Broderick, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, Danny Booko, Nia Sanchez, Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Zack Wickham and Jasmine Goode. Jax and Brittany\u2019s former Vanderpump Rules costars Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz will join the group<\/a> for season 3.<\/p>\n

Jax, 45, told viewers during his Tuesday, June 17, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that \u201cthe plan\u201d is for the pair\u2019s divorce to be finalized on July 21. The Valley star also offered an [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think it\u2019s awesome to have Lala and Schwartz on full-time because they have a new perspective,\u201d Brittany told Us on Monday. \u201cThey\u2019ve been around us, but they haven\u2019t been around the group as much all together. They see some things that they had never witnessed before, so I think that\u2019s a pretty cool thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
