KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Western Michigan men’s tennis team hosts Ball State on Thursday at 1 p.m. for its final Mid-American Conference home match of the season.<\/p>\n
Admission is free, with live scoring available at www.wmu.statbroadcast.com. Prior to the start of the match, the Broncos will take time to honor graduate student Tim Riedel<\/a> as part of Senior Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n LAST WEEK CLEAN SWEEP Adesoro was responsible for the match-clinching points in both wins over the Bulls and the Rockets. Antonopoulos and Corwin helped the Broncos earn the doubles point in each match.\u00a0<\/p>\n SCOUTING THE CARDINALS The two teams met a few weeks ago in Muncie, with the Broncos sweeping the Cardinals, 7-0.\u00a0<\/p>\n ON THE HORIZON
\nThe Broncos extended their winning streak to four matches after a pair of tight wins against Buffalo and Toledo in Kalamazoo. WMU downed the Bulls, 4-3, last Thursday and then followed it up with a 4-3 win against Toledo on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nWestern Michigan swept the MAC Weekly Awards this week with junior Ashton Adesoro<\/a> earning Singles Player of the Week, while sophomores Alex Antonopoulos<\/a> and Oscar Corwin<\/a> were named the Doubles Team of the Week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nBall State (9-9, 4-3 MAC) sit a game behind both WMU and Buffalo (5-2 MAC) in the conference standings. Last week, the Cardinals defeated Toledo, 4-3, and fell to Buffalo 4-3.\u00a0<\/p>\n
