Samantha Armytage is allegedly being considered to replace Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on the airwaves after The Kyle and Jackie O Show was axed by Australian Radio Network (ARN).<\/p>\n

The beloved TV host, who has fronted programs such as Farmer Wants A Wife, The Golden Bachelor and Sunrise, has been tipped as a frontrunner for the empty radio slot after insiders claim she received a call from ARN in the wake of the show’s axing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both Sandilands and Henderson have filed lawsuits against their former employer after their $200 million contract was terminated in the wake of an on-air clash.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, ARN seems to be looking for their next cash cow, reaching out to a number of big-named Aussie stars and dangling opportunities to fill “several new shows”, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.<\/p>\n

Armytage, while known for her TV appearances, is no stranger to the radio airwaves, having featured on multiple shows as a guest.<\/p>\n

However, while she was approached by ARN chief executive Michael Stephenson about a potential role, she has yet to have a formal sit-down with the network, according to the publication.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also rumoured to have caught the eye of ARN executives is Today host Karl Stefanovic, with the network allegedly chasing the high-profile star for a spot on the airwaves, The Sydney Morning Herald adds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thanks to Stefanovic’s introduction to audio via his booming, eponymous podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show, the TV star’s transition to radio would be smooth, making him a top seed for the job.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The network is also eyeing up Eddie McGuire, however it is not known whether he is interested.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson joined Kyle Sandilands in taking legal action against ARN Media after the termination of their 10-year contracts.<\/p>\n

Henderson is alleging her termination was a breach of the Fair Work Act and is claiming compensation of at least $82 million.<\/p>\n

ARN says it disputes Henderson’s claims and intends to defend the case in court.<\/p>\n

As for Sandilands, the radio star attended his first Federal Court<\/a> hearing last week to begin his own legal proceedings against his former employer, claiming he, too, was wrongfully axed.<\/p>\n

The shock jock, 54, is arguing that the termination of his contract on the grounds of “serious misconduct”<\/a>\u00a0was invalid because no serious misconduct occurred.<\/p>\n

Sandilands has argued he is owed the remaining $88 million from his deal, alleging that the incident fell within the provocative style he was hired to deliver.<\/p>\n

However, ARN has claimed that his behaviour earlier this year amounted to serious misconduct.<\/p>\n

On February 20, Henderson was left in tears during a broadcast after Sandilands accused her of letting her interest in astrology affect her work ethic.<\/p>\n

“It’s affecting other things, like your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable. You’re off with the fairies with this s***. It’s mental,” Sandilands raged.<\/p>\n

Sandilands claimed that “everyone in the building” had complained about her for “not doing the rest of the job”.<\/p>\n

“I would never say things like that about you,” Henderson hit back at Sandilands.<\/p>\n
