The clinical victory has now progressed her to the next stage where she will face No. 2 Chengyu Yang of China. The match is expected to display some high-quality and action-packed performances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier on Monday, March 30, India\u2019s Preeti had won her first-round match on the opening day of the tournament. Meanwhile, Borgohain (75kg) and former world champion Zareen (51kg) faced exit in their respective opening-round games before the start of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elsewhere in the men\u2019s 55kg category, India\u2019s Jadumani ended in a closed bout, resulting in a loss against No. 1 seed Rui Yamaguchi of Japan by 2-3. The top seed is coming off a silver medal at the Astana event along with a bronze at the Boxing World Cup Finals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The quarterfinal matches of the Asian Boxing Championships 2026 are scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 3. The tournament features around 194 boxers, including 20 Olyfrom 21 national federations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">India has a 20-member boxing squad for the event. The boxers who will make it to the finals will secure their direct qualification for both the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games in the approved weight categories.
