On Wednesday night, the Atlanta Braves<\/a> beat the Athletics by a score of 5-1 (at home) in Georgia.<\/p>\n

The Braves are now 4-2 in their first six games of the 2026 MLB<\/a> season.<\/p>\n

Braves World Series Champion Is Still An MLB Free Agent\"\"<\/p>\n

With the season underway, it\u2019s worth noting that former Braves pitcher Luke Jackson still remains a free agent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is available to sign with any team in the MLB.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old is coming off a season where he went 2-5 with a 4.06 ERA in 52 games for the Seattle Mariners<\/a>, Detroit Tigers<\/a> and Texas Rangers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

@DetroitTigersPR wrote (on August 8):<\/a> \u201cRHP Codi Heuer<\/a> has been recalled from Triple-A Toledo. He will wear uniform #57 and be available for tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s MLB Career\"\"<\/p>\n

He spent the first two seasons of his career playing for the Rangers.<\/p>\n

Following the Rangers, Jackson had the longest single run of his career (five seasons) with the Braves.<\/p>\n

He also helped the franchise win the World Series Championship that year.<\/p>\n

He has gone 24-16 with a 4.22 ERA.<\/p>\n

Jackson could still be a good addition to many bullpens around the MLB.<\/p>\n
