{"id":580598,"date":"2026-04-02T11:09:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/580598\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T11:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T11:09:08","slug":"new-ducati-video-reveals-worrying-marc-marquez-claim-the-bike-is-critical-but-so-am-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/580598\/","title":{"rendered":"New Ducati video reveals worrying Marc Marquez claim: \u201cThe bike is critical, but so am I\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marc Marquez admits the 2026 Ducati MotoGP bike \u201cis critical\u201d, but worrying reveals \u201cso am I\u201d, following a difficult start to his title defence.<\/p>\n<p>The seven-time world champion endured a difficult winter as he recovered from the complex shoulder surgery he suffered last October.<\/p>\n<p>But the aftereffects of it are continuing to plague him, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1654\/marc-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Marquez<\/a> not making the sharp start to the season he did 12 months ago.<\/p>\n<p>Though he has shown good qualifying speed and sprint form, winning the Brazil Saturday race and was denied one in Thailand due to a penalty, results have been harder to come by on Sundays.<\/p>\n<p>He was on course for a podium in Thailand before a wheel failure late on took him out, while he was beaten to third by Fabio Di Giannantonio in Brazil and finished fourth in America after serving a long lap for a collision with the former in the sprint.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>It marks the first time since 2024 that he hasn\u2019t scored a grand prix podium inside the first three rounds.<\/p>\n<p>Marquez admits \u201cI\u2019m struggling\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Relative to Aprilia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/ducati-lenovo-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ducati <\/a>has been a step behind in grands prix this season, with Pecco Bagnaia noting that the Noale brand is \u201cquite far ahead\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ducati team boss Davide Tardozzi defended Marquez\u2019s results after Austin, noting that he is still suffering from the shoulder injury he sustained in Indonesia last year.<\/p>\n<p>In a new episode of Ducati\u2019s Inside video series detailing the US Grand Prix, Marquez tells his mechanics that the bike is \u201cone point\u201d to fix, but his physical condition is also a major factor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I was going fast there. I could have continued like this with this pace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I didn\u2019t waste time there, by overtaking Pecco and Enea, I could have caught DiGia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bike is critical, but so am I.
