The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is coming out this April. There are many actors reprising their roles from the original hit, like Jack Black (Bowser), Chris Pratt (Mario), and Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach). There are some new additions to the cast as well, like Brie Larson who will be voicing Rosalina and Glen Powell who was recently announced as Fox McCloud. Yoshi is also appearing for the first time, after being teased in the post-credits scene of the original film. The character is being voiced by Donald Glover.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Jake\u2019s Takes<\/a>, the cast was asked to come up with lyrics for the iconic Mario theme song. Glover used his musical talent to invent the perfect words to accompany the tune. He sang, \u201cThere\u2019s a mushroom then you go and get it. And sometimes you get a star. Then you go into a tunnel and\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Then Charlie Day jumped in to complete the song with, \u201cAnd there you are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later in the interview, Glover was asked how often he would perform the Yoshi voice out in public. He admitted that he wants to save it for \u201cspecial occasions\u201d but has already performed the voice for his children because they didn\u2019t believe he was playing Yoshi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m never going to do it in front of anybody,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t want to ruin\u2026 I want it to be Yoshi\u2019s voice.\u201d He went on to explain, \u201cYou don\u2019t want it to be like\u2026 \u2018I thought he was a dinosaur. Not this guy.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Joy expressed a similar sentiment in her section of the interview, saying, \u201cFor me, it\u2019s when there\u2019s a small, small child that\u2019s like\u2026 \u2018But what do you mean you\u2019re Peach?\u2019 And then I\u2019m like\u2026 Darling, this is a conversation to have with your parents.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is in theaters starting April 1.<\/p>\n
