The Cleveland Browns<\/a> moved on from Anthony Walker Jr., their former starting linebacker, after the 2023 season. He then spent the 2024 season with the Miami Dolphins and the 2025 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The three-year starter of the Browns has now hung up his cleats, retiring after nine seasons<\/a> in the NFL.<\/p>\n

Walker is a former fifth round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent his first four seasons with the Colts before signing with the Browns in 2021. He then spent three seasons as the starting linebacker with the Browns. He was off to a hot start during the 2022 season before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 4. His athleticism was not the same after that.<\/p>\n

A look back at the career of the former Browns’ linebacker<\/p>\n

In his nine seasons, Walker started 83 games, racking up four interceptions, 362 solo tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and recovered four fumbles. Walker will not go down as a Pro Football Hall of Famer, but he put together a long and sturdy NFL career. He will be remembered as a nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award<\/a> for his work off the field.<\/p>\n
