Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf labelled his side\u2019s jarring loss to Manly <\/a>at home as \u201ca mystery\u201d and suggested changes could be afoot.<\/p>\n

Woolf didn\u2019t have too much to offer about the Dolphins\u2019 52-16 defeat against a previously winless Manly side who sacked their coach a week ago, but the disappointment in his voice was evident when he faced reporters post-game.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins let in 52 unanswered points before adding some respectability to the scoreline with three tries in the final 13 minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, it is a bit of a mystery but we thought our preparation was good,\u201d Woolf said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI certainly didn\u2019t get any feels that bothered me before the game or anything like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou give a good attacking side like that as much footy as we did and they become harder and harder to handle.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just wasn\u2019t good enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am disappointed. I think we\u2019re all disappointed. There\u2019s no doubt about that. We\u2019re going to have a good hard look at where we\u2019re at, and we\u2019re going to make some changes.<\/p>\n

When pressed by a journalist what he meant by \u201cchanges\u201d, Woolf stopped short of committing to changes to his team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to make changes to what we\u2019re doing. We\u2019re going to improve what we\u2019re doing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The first half would\u2019ve been diabolical viewing for Woolf and all Dolphins fans. The Sea Eagles were awarded the first eight penalties of the game and took full advantage with the home side unable to stop the onslaught as Manly piled on 34 points in the first forty.<\/p>\n

Woolf didn\u2019t want to make any excuses though, instead blasting his side\u2019s discipline.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just became really ill-disciplined as the game went on,\u201d Woolf said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were ill-disciplined with the ball. We showed when we get the first line break, we were determined to get rid of it. And we were all disciplined with our defence after that as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bye comes at a great time for the 2-3 Dolphins who have now dropped their last two games.<\/p>\n
